COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber color, fruity and spicy bouquet, and its creamy foam, Leffe Biere de Noel is a beer full of character. Very expected during the holiday season, it continues the tradition of master brewers who kept their best barley and hops to brew once a year. Leffe Biere de Noel makes your aperitif a moment of intense flavor.

Bottle: Big frotty creamy head on top of a deep dark orange red to brown beer. Smell malts, fruit, spices, yeast, caramel and grains. Taste a sweet and spicy mix of sweet fruit and pepper turns to a very soft well balanced beer, malts, caramel, spices, light fruity and a hint of yeast and alcohol. Mid body, low carbo and soft light tingling mouthfeel.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a brown color with a white head. The aroma is toffee, apples and cinnamon. Somewhat surprisingly, the beer smells a lot like fresh-baked apple pie. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of caramel and toffee malts, as well as some dark fruit, apples, cinnamon and sugar. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice holiday beer. Better than expected.

(Draught at Brussels Airport) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white with hint of brown. Aroma had caramell and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramell, sugary sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet. Very clean and dull beer with too much sweetness.

26-dec-2010 33cl bottle at home. Clear amber beer with average, frothy, lasting off-white head. Taste is dry, spicy, not very sweet. Aftertaste is pretty balanced, and of medium length. Not a very special Belgian beer though...

[330ml bottle, The Bottle, York] Pours dark reddish brown with a thin, fast-reducing head. Slightly spicy aromas and a mildly spiced taste – but other than that it’s extremely close to Leffe Brune. Sweet malt and a large amount of yeast – not much else [21122010]
