Bottled. Pours clear and deep amber with a large off-white head. Good lacings. Average carbonation. Nose of yeast, nuts and spices. Sweet flavour with nuts, dried fruits and spices. Medium bodied. Creamy texture. More dry finish. Yet an OK brew from Leffe.

Pours a red / brown / purple with a thin off white head. Aroma is floor polish, dust, spice, some dark fruits and screamed hotdog to me. Which isn’t a smell I would request a beer to taste of. Hmm, well it’s ok but needs more aroma of hotdog. Not going to happen. A slightly spicier, less metallic version of the brune. Average, which is an improvement for Leffe.

Typical Inbev. It’s like a mix between the blonde and brown. Not too bitter. Body is medium.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl bottle poured into a Chimay Trappist glass. Dark amber with one finger creamy off-white head. Aroma is barnyard. Flavor is the typical Leffe yeast and not much else. Medium body, medium carbonation. Medium-lasting finish, moderately bitter with some barnyard notes. Boring.

This is getting big promotion all across Paris on billboards, so this winter at least it should be widely available in France. Nice dark amber colour with a foamy head. Soft cherry aromas buried in a nut and wood mix that emerges from mostly malt ingredients. Taste is a lot of mahogany and oak with an alcoholic and watery finish. Another miss by Leffe, this is okay but could be much better.
