3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JanLaursen (2158) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2012
Bottle, 33 cl. Clear mahagony red with a frothy decent off-white head leaving a a little lacework. Smells like a Leffe, eg. dried fruity and yeasty. A little nutty to. Taste is sweet dried fruit, caramel, light citrus and a subdued bitterness. Peppery finish, but otherwise not that spicey for a Belgian X-mas offering. Better than most other Leffe offerings, still not very interesting.

33 cl bottle. Amber colored pour with medium sized head. Fruity, caramel, toffee and cherry aroma. Light sweet, malty, pleasant fruity finish. I enjoyed this. I can drink a lot of these this holiday season.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Firefly54 (150) - - NOV 2, 2012
Dark amber colour, off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, some cherry and dark fruit, creamy, some esters. Taste has subtle spice, cinnamon, clove, raisins, cream. I don’t think this is too bad, just like all other leffe beers. Nice Xmas beer to be fair.

Clear red brown, off white head. Not much aroma. Taste had some winter spices. Not a good body, high carbo.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 sic1314 (959) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - AUG 25, 2012
Pours dark with a loose and rapidly disappearing head. Deep fruity nose of cherries and spices. Not quite as heavy a mouthfeel as I would have expected, more laid back in the fruit flavours, a hit of malt. Slightly dry aftertaste. At least it’s not like liquid christmas pudding.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Idiosynkrasie (1844) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 1, 2012
330ml bottle. Clear deep dark red with average frothy to creamy, moderately lacing off-white head. Fruity and slightly spicy aroma has notes of cherry, coriander, a touch of clove, a dry to soapy hop overtone. Taste is initially dark malty with an upflashing touch of cherry, slightly soapy hop note, becomes later earthy and minimally spicy. Unbalanced.

3rd July 2010 Hazy brown beer, good off white head. Fairly neutral palate. Palate is slightly soft. Sweetish malt - creamy. Nice fruity undertone - cherry dominant. Finishes semi dry and malty. Not bad for a Xmas beer!
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 KoNrRiI (229) - Århus, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2012
0.33 bottle. Aroma seems to be rather equally divided between hops and malts, some christmas-like spicy additions in the background along with a delicate alcoholic scent and a subtle. Dark scarlet color and a small off-white head of very poor retention. Taste is pretty pleasant, sweet and malty, not very intricate. The beer has medium body and a fine creamy feel, however carbonation is somewhat to lively for this kind of beer which I feel should be enjoyed with family or a group of friends on a cold afternoon by a fireplace. The aftertaste is short and sweet, does not leave any sour or bitter residues. Overall it is a fine beer, very well suited for winter, quite drinkable for its kind and not overly sweet.
