COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber color, fruity and spicy bouquet, and its creamy foam, Leffe Biere de Noel is a beer full of character. Very expected during the holiday season, it continues the tradition of master brewers who kept their best barley and hops to brew once a year. Leffe Biere de Noel makes your aperitif a moment of intense flavor.

300 ml. bottle. Nice red mahogany colour, very big head that take its time to fade and leaves a big lace. Smell of dried fruits, some caramel and some spices, but not clearly discernible. Sticky palate, taste of spices and dried fruits, but, as with te smell, not discernible. Again, its out of date, so Ill have to try it again, my first impression is of a good but not exceptional beer.

Pours a clear light brown color, dark amber, topped with a average sized tan head. Mild aroma of roasty malt, some caramel and fruitiness as well. Sweet and malty, nice caramel feel to it, medium bitterness, alcohol is well hidden. Pretty decent.

33cl bottle at home. Beautiful brown, red, ruby beer with firm beige collar. Besides the malt character, the taste also has clear notes of dark spices - even some black pepper - and some vanilla or cream. The earth features are typically for this brand, but this brew also has a sharp bitterness I really did not expect in a dark Leffe. Not that sweet, which is a welcome feature. Beautifully medium bodied, though I might have been a bit stronger, and therefor a good drinker. The palate however lacks a proper ending.

Bue en bouteille de 75cl. Ambrée foncée, mousse blanche. Nez caramel. Arômes de sucre, de caramel et d'épices au palais. Pas trop sucrée étonnamment mais déséquilibrée et peu agréable au palais.

Bottle from Cocktails, Littleborough. Chestnut-red with a frothy head. Includes winter fruity pale malts in both aroma and taste with the former sightly more stated in this respect.
