3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Thin aroma, a bit of grass. Taste is delicate, maybe not completely convincing, but hints of cherry and apple are present; the long finish is malty.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33 bottle. Aroma seems to be rather equally divided between hops and malts, some christmas-like spicy additions in the background along with a delicate alcoholic scent and a subtle. Dark scarlet color and a small off-white head of very poor retention. Taste is pretty pleasant, sweet and malty, not very intricate. The beer has medium body and a fine creamy feel, however carbonation is somewhat to lively for this kind of beer which I feel should be enjoyed with family or a group of friends on a cold afternoon by a fireplace. The aftertaste is short and sweet, does not leave any sour or bitter residues. Overall it is a fine beer, very well suited for winter, quite drinkable for its kind and not overly sweet.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a a dark red color with a small off white head that desapeared quickly. Aroma of malts and some sweet red fruit sirup and some spices. Flavors is a bit metal, with roasted malts, a hint of red fruits, some caramel and spices. Good carbonation, with a sweet bitterness. A little to sweet and the over taste of sirup is clear. Its drinkable but nothing great.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl bottle poured into a Chimay Trappist glass. Dark amber with one finger creamy off-white head. Aroma is barnyard. Flavor is the typical Leffe yeast and not much else. Medium body, medium carbonation. Medium-lasting finish, moderately bitter with some barnyard notes. Boring.

this is actually what I expect in a christmas beer. a darker color that could be called amber. sweet caramel with a slight bitter background. Medium to big sized maltiness. fun beer to try since I’ve never seen this one around bitburg, germany.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Raisins, herbal mix, roasted.
Copperbrown, white to beige head, creamy to frothy head, lasting long, lacing.
Full taste, caramel, raisins, herbs. Soft taste with some sharp hints.
Slowly a little bitterness comes in, soft fizzy.
I just liked it. Good, tasty beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
300 ml. bottle. Nice red mahogany colour, very big head that take its time to fade and leaves a big lace. Smell of dried fruits, some caramel and some spices, but not clearly discernible. Sticky palate, taste of spices and dried fruits, but, as with te smell, not discernible. Again, it’s out of date, so I’ll have to try it again, my first impression is of a good but not exceptional beer.
