"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Bottle- Pours a nice golden color with a large fluffy white head andlots of lacing. Aroma has a mild sweetness with a mixture of spices thrown in. Has an inital spice nip with a fruity sweetness. A mild tart in the background through to a clean finish with a subtle but lingering sticky sweetness. Fairly light body, crisp, smooth and creamy. The 6.6 ABV is well hidden. Another beer that is a bit too sweet to really enjoy. Nice beer for the style, but the sweetness keeps me from drinking more than one.

750ml bottle. Pale amber. Fruity aroma. Sweet/spicy, banana, almost cider like. No real aftertaste. Well carbonated, thin palate.

Let me introduce you to one of my most favorite Belgian Pale Ale… Leffe Blonde. Pale amber in color, this ale pumps out a full-bodied, flavor-rich beer. First you’ll notice the soothing amber color in which light dances on the surface and deep within the glass. Take a moment to enjoy the substantial head that forms when the beer is poured just right. As you enjoy this fine ale, take note of the foam rings that line your glass. Drinking doesn’t just involve taste… take time to enjoy the look and display that your beer provides! Then take in your first drink… no other ale fills my mouth like this hearty Belgian Ale! I notice different flavors each time I enjoy this ale but for the most part it imparts a slightly sweet yet slightly spicy flavor that is as soft as warm caramel on the tongue. There are also subtle hints of vanilla and maybe even some toffee. At times I’ve tasted (or did I imagine it?!) slight tastes of banana but definitely some sweet spices! As for the aroma of the ale… well… it really smells like banana nut bread! Keep in mind that Belgian ales are thought to be amongst the best in the world. They are very complex but very, very rewarding to the ale connoisseur! So grab ya some Leffe… get it as cold as you can, pour you a glass and enjoy this awesome ale!

11.2 oz bottle. Bready, spicy, fruity, balanced, with a great medium body. This is a really a well-made prototype for a Belgian blonde ale style. The pour was pretty with a thick, creamy layer of starch white head, soft retention and lacing, a semi-translucent body, and bright golden orange in color. A hazy aroma here, with some good mixed spices, banana, other fruity esters, biscuits, leafy herbs, and crisp pale grains. Again, medium bodied in palate, some prickling spice, light funky tart, but also mixes creamy, and well balanced between the bitter and grainy malt. Lots of biscuits, pale Belgian grains, and mixed fruity esters in the flavor. Bananas, clove, light melon, buttery popcorn, cereal grains, and bitter herbals. Finishes with buttery biscuit and herbal esters. Overall, I’m a fan. Nothing over the top, but well made. Could drink all night.

A deep, effervescent gold w/ fluffy white head.. inviting aroma of yeast and fruit.. tasty enough, some clove shows up in the finish which is a bit off-putting, a little thin, but refreshing & in general pleasurable. Fine.

Belgian yeast and some fruit in the aroma. Flavor is yeast, candy sugar, and clove, with a little alcohol. Carbonation give a nice mouthfeel. You know you’re a great beer country when this is your version of a normal, mass-produced beer.

Draft at Bourbon Quarter restaurant in Saint John, NB. Smell is fruity malt, orange, pineapple and/or grapefruit, with a little yeast. Served in a Leffe branded Trappist glass, medium white head that dissipated in a couple minutes, left lots of lacing the way down. Colour was a rich red/gold. Taste is the same fruits and yeast as the nose, some grain, a little hops and some acidic sourness. Palate was creamy but not heavy. Overall, a very solid import.
