2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TomTron (83) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - AUG 5, 2011
12oz bottle. I’ve had a skunked version and a fresh version, and good thing this one is fresh. Aroma of yeast and butterscotch. Head left quick and not much to say at all about lacing. Carbonation is pretty heavy, which is not a bad thing and I expect that from most belgium beers. Not much in the realm of complexity on this one, but is a definite sessional beer and that helps it’s cause, but at 6.6%, it will sneak up on you. It’s refreshing, but nothing about this beer blows my skirt up.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 nogov (106) - Texas, USA - AUG 5, 2011
Pours stunning. Rich gold with 4 finger head that falls into lace. Nose is bread / yeast with a hint of pine box. Taste is multi-layered and complex. Waves of malt, hop, bread, vanilla, yeast, and citrus intertwine. None is particularly dominant as they interleave quickly on one another. Lingering finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 blazingspiral (170) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Clear gold body, half-inch white head. Peach and pear in the aroma, with some banana. Bright, tingly, spicy flavor. Sweet yeasty aftertaste. A delicate brew with attractive feminine characteristics. Good on a Summer day.

bottle. Pours a clear orange gold color with a fluffy white head. Aroma has belgian spices, prominently clove, there is also noticeable yeast. Flavor is balanced, sweet, lightly fruity malts, with a semi-dry finish. Medium bodied. Overall quite good, though not extraordinary.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Clyx (208) - SWEDEN - JUL 31, 2011
Damn, to much corn for my palate. And there is some skunkyness to it, pretty easy drinken and imo below average.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JaKeAFC (156) - ITALY - JUL 31, 2011
0.33 bottle into it’s glass. Intense clear gold, compact white head with perfect lacing. Fruity nose. Aroma has spicy malts and huge amount of fruitiness, sugar, caramel. Alcohol is there but balanced . Taste is really sweet, smooth medium body, average carbonation. Can’t remember about hops and bitterness, if there were some, a bit too sweet to me. Classic and popular, worth having one!

330mL bottle. Pours cloudy golden color with big white head and carbonation, leaves nice lacing on side of glass. Smells of yeast and clove and some banana, tastes much the same. A very good entry beer for one to break into the Belgian beer arena.
