"750ML bottle has been sitting around in my cellar for 2 months so I’m hesitant to be sure if this beer is at all fresh. It was sitting even longer at Charles Street Liquors in Boston. Paid $8.99.
Was feeling daring so I poured this into a Chimay Chalice
A - Strikingly clear brew that’s totally filtered and free of all haze and sediment. Deep amber but still very translucent. The head was 3 fingers at the pour and never really subsided beyond 1 finger
S - Honestly, smells like every other Belgian Abbey ale but very very fresh. Little Breadiness to it and hints of vanilla.
T - Leffe is one of my favorite accessible abbey beers. Clean taste, vanilla and orange come through
M - Dense and very filling. One 750 of this and you’ll feel pretty full like you just ate a meal. I enjoyed swishing it around and the foam going crazy in my mouth.
O - I like this beer. I think after 5 beers in one day, I was feeling pretty bleh and this beer just took me over the top. It’s big, heavy and very complex so I wasn’t able to finish it. Still, Leffe is one of my favorites. This is the first time I had it in a 750. I tasted a huge difference between singles and the 750 for some reason. Not sure why or if it was just freshness related."

Smooth beer, very tasty, light enough to enjoy several of them in one night

11.2 oz. bottle (from six pack); crystal clear golden/light amber ale with sizable, brilliant long-lasting true-white head that leaves fantastic lacing. I am always pleased with this beer--terrific for a mass-produced ale of this style. Strong malty aroma with biscuit-like characteristics. Palate entry is sweet, rounding out with pear and orange citrus flavors; medium-bodied with strong alcohol content, finishing hops and peppery phenols that provide a well-balanced drinking experience. A very good and reliable beer.

Fantastic beer! Very drinkable and smooth. Pours a golden color with a nice white head. What can I say, another great beer from Belgium!

Great golden color and pleasing bubbles. A smooth drink which I really wanted to like more than I did. The clove aftertaste is almost overpowering and makes this a one glass beer.
