| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2009 A: Poured with a good-sized, white head that eventually diminished to about 1/2-finger size. Great, thick lacing on the sides of the glass. Body is a dark golden color with a very slight amount of haze. A nice looking beer.
S: Aroma of some yeast, but mainly pepper, coriander, orange, and some other smells.
T: Spices are almost overpowering in the flavor. Nice at first, but everything is fighting for my attention and after a little while the whole thing actually gets a little sickening.
M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with soft carbonation.
D: No, I don’t think I can drink more than one of these. Maybe a different time would yield a different result for me, but I don’t think so. Too many other better Belgian beers out there. FunkyBrewster (443), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 13, 2009 On tap at some party event. Pours a clear light golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and light fruity, and bready with a soft spiciness in the background. A lot of clove and yeast. Flavor starts even sweeter than the nose, a sort of apple juice like fruity sweetness along with with the clove and lightly spiced character. Finishes a bit dry and not very bitter as the banana and sugars never really fade and linger in the finish. Medium body and a bubbly carbonation. Not a bad drink, but not nearly up there in the style. Sledutah (53), Utah, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Leffe has a clear bright gold pour with a white foamy head, there is an abundance of effervescence in this beer when first poured, fine bubbles cling together and to the glass to make whippy lacing, very nice to look at, head is sturdy and always there and looks like an over carbonated.
Aromas are yeasty bread, malt and some fruit, there is some leaf and faint earthy tones in the background (hops?), and I get some faint alcohol in the background to,
flavors are light malt (Pilsner?), bread and light fruit with a honey sweetness, I noticed some pepper bite at the finish, there was some traces of some malt flavor and sweetness after the finish, and some alcohol felt in the background to, not a lot of alcohol but this is a 6.6% alc. beer and I do not think this should not be given any alcohol flavors for that alcohol strength, the alcohol did not spoil the enjoyment of the beer for me but some drinkers may find it to be a nuisance,
mouth feel is around medium, maybe a touch thin from too much carbonation, this is an easy drinking beer, bubbly and gives a creamy mouth feel (from the carbonation),
this is an ok drink, I liked the malt aroma of this beer but nothing really exciting.
