rlaw (42), USA Oct 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden with a white fluffy head. Aroma is of spice (cloves?), fruity sweetness, and banana. Flavor is rich, yeasty, and heavy on the banana. slitcher (87), Freeport, Illinois, USA Oct 22, 2009 Pours a golden color with a thick white head that leaves a great lace. Aroma of sweet fruits, hops and bready yeast. Flaors of candy sugar, banana, and slight hop bitterness. Fairly dry finish. Overall a pretty good Belgian ale, especially for the price. stobbe74 (655), Denmark Oct 20, 2009 Bottle, 33cl. Pours an amber beer with a good offwhite head. The aroma is sweet, fruity and toffee. The flavor is malt, caramel with slight notes of alcohol. The palate is some grassy bitterness. Overall a good average beer. vkrejci (23), Brno, Czech Republic Oct 19, 2009 330 ml bottle, golden and clear, sweet fruity flavor with slightly bitter tail. Drinkable, but not in large quantities. malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Oct 18, 2009 On tap at Croxley Alehouse, Rockville Centre (besides the hundreds of times I’ve had this before). Blonde with small head and lace. Very aromatic spicy aroma with candy sugar apricot fruitiness and spicy dry finish. Seemed quite fresh, surprisingly. Medium body. Pretty good. gyllenbock (238), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 15, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden color with a large and fluffy white head.
The aroma is quite sweet, with syrupy element. Flavor is very sweet with some spiciness, caramel and hints of banana. Drinkable but a bit too sweet for my taste. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Oct 8, 2009 Had a generous quantity last weekend in Paris, at a sidewalk cafe. Does life get any better? People watching, getting out the rain, and enjoying good beer. Surely this is the way to enjoy this beer, on tap and not bottled. PalCabral (10), Sweden Oct 8, 2009 Bottle from Systembolaget. Brilliant golden, spicy aroma, faint head. The taste is peppery, spices playing over your tongue. Finishes a bit short. No matter what they say about mass-produced beers, this is still a good one.
