Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Strong typical belgian flavours with touch of old wood. The aftertaste has some bitterness to it compared to the beginning which is quite sweet. Very easy to drink beer, and quite famous aswell.

The monks of Belgium brewed this, it is claimed. It made me pray for a Blatz, but none was to be found. So I smashed this on my head and cried out: "Why me God??"

A golden coloured beer with a white head. It has clove and a bit of smoke in the aroma. Notes of clove and cinnamon in the taste. Lively carbonation, medium body. It was my first belgian beer three years ago. I like it.

Delicate malty aroma best describes this golden ale! Rather straight forward and somehow uninspiring. However the palate is a different thing altogether. Juicy and sweet with the sweetness carrying through to the finish on a creamy texture making this a treat to your palate! Despite the simple aroma and short finish, Leffe Blond is a very good beer to quaff particularly on a hot afternoon any day of the week!

Pours a clear gold with a good sized head. Aroma is malt, floral hops and citrus. Flavor is well balanced and light. Some fruity (banana and orange) flavors come through. Finish is smooth. Very nice.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2011 Belle blonde aux arômes fruités, floraux, de miel et de levure. Goût sucré, malté, avec une finale légèrement amère. Bonne bière belge classique.

75 cl bottle. Clear golden beer with a fluffy head. Light fruits, yeast, honey and bread. Some slight notes of spice. Light body with lively carbonation. Too straightforward for this kind of beer, though not really any off-flavours or such.
