Bella68 (38), Alabama, USA Dec 31, 2008 Nice, golden color. Bottle. Whitish, diminishing fluffy head. Flavor is kinda fruity. Nice beer. tarheels86 (694), Washington DC, USA Dec 30, 2008 330 mL. Pours a clear blonde with a good, fluffy white head with good retention and good lacing. Aromas of clove, floral hops, white sugar, yeast, candy, and slight alcohol. Taste is like a weak tripel with caramel, cloves, candy, and grassy hops. Metallic, artificial finish. Overall tastes like a poor beer trying to imitate a good one. Jblauvs (528), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Dec 30, 2008 golden blonde pour
spicy, malty aromas
malty sweetness with a grassy finish Maverick34 (684), New York, USA Dec 26, 2008 Bottled. Laughed about in Belgium but overall not terrible. Pours gold with lots of head. Citrusy and watery but not awful, but kind of a grungy finish...ok for the masses and better than stella. sdriessen (203), Dunedin, New Zealand Dec 24, 2008 Orange/golden colour with a rocky, white head. Exciting carbonation, looks beautiful in its own glass.
Bubblegum, hops nose with some alcohol. Slight spice like clove with floral tones. Some citrus.
Rich flavours, not very bitter, clean on the palate. Mild carbonation with some honey.
I really enjoy this beer. Rciesla (3485), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber golden body with a white head. Sweet malty with a bitter hop finish. A light metallic note in the finish. eh. Gary (352), Buckinghamshire, England Dec 21, 2008 Updated: Jan 23, 2009There are 499 better Belgian beers. But Leffe is malty & spicy. Who cares about all the fake Abbey bullshit ? notalush (2620), Denver, Colorado, USA Dec 17, 2008 Clear golden pour - soapy, sticky lace - aroma of clove, candi sugar, flowers, herbal tea - sugar sweet flavor, with a lot of belgiany phenols, clove, scented soap/flower kind of flavors - it aint bad, but it is awfully sweet for the abv, like herbal tea with a lot of raw sugar in it.
