Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

(bottle from co-op) Had this beer before and there was something about I just couldn’t work out that I didn’t like. Poured a nice mid yellow golden colour with good carbonation and fast bubbles. Smells citrusy and flowers. Has a full mouthfeel with a bittersweet tast. In fact it seemed to get sweeter the more I drank. Overwhelmingly so infact. Citrus evident in flavours, felt like grapefruit or something. Not particularly refreshing, or particularly interesting. Ok, but I’ve had many better belgian ales.

Bottle - Pours a golden colour with a clean white head. Yeasty aroma, slightly sweet. Spicy taste, finished with a mixture of dry and sweet.

On tap at Johnathan’s Bistro in Appleton, WI. Pours clear golden amber with a small swirl of bubbles on top and little bits of lacing on the way down. The aroma is extremely sweet and dominated by the Belgian yeast, bubblegum and bananas. There is only the faintest hint of hops in the nose. The hops are a little more prominent in the taste but the spices, clove mainly, really amp up the spiciness of the taste on top of the underlying Belgian yeast sweetness. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and that, combined with the spices, really tingles the tongue in the finish. This is a decent Belgian beer though not quite as complex or drinkable as some of the better Belgians I’ve had. Decent.

a very light yeasty smell, it pours dark gold with a thick lasting frothy head. it is quite sweet and malty, tastes like honey and is nice and warm from alcohol too. it is very nice, and i have mentally had it underrated for quite some time.

Popular beer amongst those who want to drink something "special", but a bit dull. Aroma of malt and yeast, taste rather sweet (honeylike) with reasonably strong hop. Poors rather easily with a good head of white, pearly foam, which deminishes to leave a white-ish hue.

Pours a hazy pale golden-orange with a finger of pitted, off-white head that diminishes to a thin skin. The nose is of fruity lightly spicy (clove) Belgian yeast with a supporting honey-like malt note. Light to medium-bodied with fine, soft, yet prolific carbonation, the palate finishes fairly cleanly with only a slightly spicy aftertaste. The flavor more-or-less follows the nose with a nice spicy finish. This isn’t one of those beers that blows you away, but it is one that leaves you quite satisfied. A solid Belgian ale.

Very, very nice beer. Nice flavor for a beer you could drink all night long. Too bad it is kinda expensive otherwise I would serve it at parties. I scored it a high 3.6 but could have easily scored it higher. One of the better brews around.. :)

Bottle: Pure gold color with a thin, creamy white head. Thick sheets of lacing. Aroma is bright with fruitiness, light florals, yeast, and some spices. Tastes maltier than expected; some grassey hops and yeast. Sweet and smooth with a little more spiciness. Got this as a gift for Xmas, didn’t really expect much of it... As it turns out, I could see this as a terrific summer beer and perhaps even a summer staple.
