UPDATED: JUN 12, 2011 Gorgeous yellow color. Taste is big on the yeast, with belgian sugar backing. Was looking forward to something lighter and less sweet (based on the name). Slight offputting taste of heartburn as you drink more. Rerate: Better in other bottles with less clove. Too incosistent.

Bottle. Pours a straw yellow with lots of carbonation and a slowly dissipating, foamy head. Aroma is bready, citrusy, yeasty, with some bubblegum. Taste is a bit bland - yeast again, with a hint of fruit and a bitter aftertaste. Lots of carbonation, a bit spicy. Nothing special, but pretty drinkable for the amount of alcohol in it.

Leffe Blond looks great. I tried a bottle and poured into my Leffe glass. It pours out forming a nice head, but it takes some time to develop. It stays on for a long time. Very subtle aroma some grains, but not much. Taste, however, is fresh, full of sides to discover. I tasted hints of pineapple sweetness in the beginning, followed by fruity hops and malts, ended by some alchol warmth in the finish. Really nice one.

Clear and golden, with a small whitish head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, bubblegum, and biscuit. The taste is yeasty and a bit fruity sweet, but overall, well balanced and not overdone or harsh. Medium bodied. Solid Belgian.

Yellowish, hazy liquid, sweet aroma and taste. A good, standard belgian ale with high alcohol-content.

Pours dark clear golden. Nose is yeast, zesty citrous, banana and caramel malt. Taste is light, fruity, citrous and yeast. Refreshing and drinkable Belgian ale with a nice fruity finish.

I can’t believe I haven’t rated this already. A good standard Belgium beer.

bottle in a tulip glass - pours golden with moderate white head. Lively effervescence. Aroma is malt and yeast. Not an impressive aroma to be honest. Lingering finish that won’t quit. In aftertaste I detect alcohol aroma. Definitely easy to drink and refreshing, but it lacks character to make it a great beer.
