Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

11.2 oz. both into a fluted tulip. Deep gold with a huge, fluffy, white, Belgian head. Aroma is very wheaty - clove, banana, spice, and also a solid hit of Belgian Yeast. Flavor is clove, citrus, banana, and some very sweet malt. Kind of like a Hefe with Belgian yeast. Finishes with a nice, complex sweetness which gives way to yeasty, bready, biscuit flavors. Slightly cloying overall, one is enough, but I did enjoy my one.

Bottle (330ml): Quite clean and light smelling. Hints of bread and perhaps some pepper but not a lot else; very bland smelling. Light amber in colour with a very nice, foamy white head with good retention and some light bubbles rising to the surface. Again quite a clean taste with a mix of coriander and pepper accounting for the majority of the flavour. It finishes with a spicy yet sweet & warm aftertaste. Medium bodied and again pretty smooth. Very drinkable. A rather nice drink that goes down quiet well although it is most certainly lacking in smell. - - - - abarwithnoname.wordpress.com

Aroma of clove, malt and hay. A nice wheat flavor with coriander and a slight yeast after taste. One is enough though. Not that it is too strong or anything, you just get tired of the flavor after one.

The nose is thin but there is some clove and it almost smells a little spicy. The flavor is a little restrained compared to other belgians, with some citrus, spice and coriander too. The taste is pretty well balanced and very pleasant, though the consistency is a bit thin.

Bottle; 33c;, many thanks, Beermerchants Appearance is classic golden-copper’ aroma is staw, hey, grass, perfume, flowers, some odd metallic element,. Taste is hey; flowers, biscuit malt, toffee, caramel, good bitterness in the mouth feel, not aggressive or insulting, balance is moderate, creamy an oily, honey, grass, straw, perfume, some odd-bite I get from this beer which I’ve never been able to understand. It’s the bite at the finish just before the alcohol burn. This beer is also quite heart-warming and feels like it punches higher than the 6.6 abv. The finish is long; lingering, fruity, metallic. A very easy early adaptation to Abbey styles.

Schiuma bianca e persistente al naso è malto, miele, erbe, coriandolo. In bocca è piena e morbida con un finale leggermente dolciastro.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Gold yellow brew with a white head, big rush of large bubble carbonation that builds up a head almost like a sparkling wine. Dull aroma: yeast with hints of spice. Taste is very light malts with a yeasty bitter finish. A little spice. Evocative of a hefeweizen in the finish. Moderatet palate made lively by the carbonation. SImple, uncomplicated, not all that much to it. An easy drinking beer with a satisfying ABV level. I tend to "common sewer" brews more than "connoisseur" brews, but found this one to be quite tolerateble.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with clear glden yellow edges when held to a light source and a two finger frothy, pillowy white head. Great retention, only slowly fading into a thin lasting cap that leaves chunks of soapy lace behind. Earhy aroma with lots of zesty spice as well as some sweet alcohol and crisp light fruit. Lots of zesty pepper and coriander along with earthy straw and lemongrass notes. Pale malts with subtle light fruit in the nose, mostly apple. Medium bodied with a nice balance of zesty spice, sweet crisp light fruit, earthy hops, alcohol qnd bready yeast. There’s a very prominent spice character up font with lots of zesty pepper, coriander and lemon zest that lingers throughout. This is countered mid-palate by a strong bread/yeast character that adds cmplexity and fullness to the body. Hintsnof wheat, banana, and lemon peel as well as some faint apple and pear. Decently balanced and easy to drink especially in the warmer months but not something that I would regularly seek out. A nice introduction to Belgian beers.
