Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

In my book, best beer ever. Hands down. And I’ve lived in Belgium, travelled throughout Europe and South America, throughout the U.S., tried hundreds of beers over 25+ years. Yes, Leffe is #1 for taste, which is all that really matters.

It’s different for sure. I would say medium bodied. Nice for clover lovers.

33cl bottle @ O’ Leary´s Kista. Poured light amber color with a with a frothy head. Aroma is toffee, yeast. Also rather sweet. Flavor is very malty, caramel with dark fruits and some yeasty notes. Bitter towards finish. Quite nice.

Bottle at Dæmingen - igen igen (Har jeg virkelig ikke rated denne endnu ??). Clear golden - white head. Sweetness, caramel, recidual sugar, high phenols, high yeast estre, fruity, light bitter hoppy, light flowery. There is no faults or anything wrong with this beer. But I don’t like it !!!

Bottle in the fridge for 2 yrs. Nothin’ for nothin’ , but am I the only one who worries about dropping foil in my drink? probably. Anyway, smells great, like smashed up orange and bannana peels with a fresh baked loaf on top. smooth & mild. I might try to get a 5gal keg of this.

Pours a golden/yellow with a nice lasting white head, good lacing. Aroma of sweet pears, some bannana and sweet spice esters. Taste is sweet fruitiness, dominated by pears and bannana with some slight hoppiness. Palate is nice med bodied, with good carbonation and nice crisp mouthfeel. Finish is sweet fruityflavors with some light hops bitterness for balance. Overall a very nice well rounded and refreshing brew.

Stereotypical Belgian sugar/clove flavor. Something that many American brewers (the low end ones) have copied, not the best beer but still good for what its worth.
