On tap at Barneys Beanery. Golden yellow with a thin head and minimal lacing. Bright fruit aromas with bubble gum and yeast evident. Sweet light fruit flavors supported by yeast and honey. Lively carbonation, light body and a fruit sweetness in the finish. A nice bright beer for a warm afternoon.

Bottle from Capone’s. Super carbonated deep gold pour with big fluffy white head. Nose is great,; funky yeasty malt, rock sugary esters, some lemongrassy hops. Tastes complex, rich, with a lot of fruity notes, some grains, lemongrass, and spicy yeasty hints. I also had this on draft at the Epcot beer and food event in OCtober 2010. Nice stuff.

Great flavour and enjoyable beer. Little stronger than the regular beers that are there. Sweet.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Wolfbass (517) - Firenze, ITALY - JAN 7, 2011
Penso che un pò di anni fa di averne bevute a palate di blond. E in effetti è la classica belgian ale, color dorato, aroma leggero di malto, e gusto tra il malto e il finale leggermente amarognolo. Sempre potabile.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sevenlee (372) - Central Coast, NSW, AUSTRALIA - JAN 7, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2011 Leffe’s flagship beer is a fine beer indeed. Nice golden colour with a large white head (as you’d expect from a Belgian beer) which laces beautifully. Aroma is sweet although maybe a little weaker than it deserves to be. Smooth fruity taste with an aftertaste of orange. At 6.6% it’s not one to guzzle. Top quality especially if you can pick it up cheaply on special.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 6, 2011
330 ml bottle. This is one of the beers that got me on the path, though It has diminished greatly lately, and until now I haven’t even bothered to rate one. here goes... Grainy, spicy aroma, malty with a bit of grass. jothing special, but cleanish. clear golden color with a large head. Swet, malty flavor, spicy, some fruits and grassy hops, though just a bit. The finish is a bit too cloying, though, with not enough bitterness to cut through the honey-like malts. Not the beer I used to love, that’s for sure.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Shrews629 (193) - Kentucky, USA - JAN 4, 2011
Clear golden color with bright yellow highlights. Very nice, thick, soapy to somewhat creamy head that left real good lacing and had very good retention. The head stayed with the beer until the finish. Picking up some spicy, peppery notes. Touches of hops that smell fresh and smell of grass or grain. Also, smells of lemon and coriander. The bready aromas don’t come forth until after the beer has warmed considerably. Very nice taste. Has a touch of alcohol warmth. A dry bread or biscuity taste. The lemon and pepper are held back more in the taste, but not obscure. The spices are not overdone and the malt really mellows this beer out. Medium to light mouthfeel that is very smooth and rather dry. Doesn’t overwhelm the palate, but does cover it in an average way. This is probably the best "Blonde" that I’ve had thus far. I’m not a real big fan of "Blondes", "Wits" or "Hefes", but this beer was excellent. Most are way too spicy and overdone with sweetness. This was more subdued and gentle and made for a very pleasant experience. This would be great during the summer around the BBQ. The high ABV might sneak up on me however.
