PetetheMeat (546), Hove, Denmark Jun 17, 2008 Clear golden, lasting white creamy head. Sweet, yeasty aroma with vague perfumy notes. Mild, pleasant malty flavour. Yeast. A touch of bubble gum? Overall very uncomplex, yet well balanced. Very drinkable. Far better than Leffe Brune... phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 15, 2008 Poured a semi-hazey yellow colour with a full white head. Aromas of yeast, spice, raspberries and red licorice. Mildly acidic, Taste is yeasty, and noticeable berry flavor. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Jun 14, 2008 Great. We have little question marks to press so we don’t have to actually form our own opinions now. Makes it easier to review: Hay, basement aromas, earthy, golden, hazy, frothy, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, average carbonation. I thought this tasted more like a Saison. Belgian Ale seems so generic. Average, not something I’ll probably look for again. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2008 [1199-20080305] Tap. Sweet heavy yeast aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Flavour has a bit of sweet oatmeal and heavy bread yeast with a bit of banana in the finish. Light-medium body. Nice on tap, fresh.
