Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2010 330 ml bottle, poured into my leffe goblet. 1 & a half finger head. Looks like apple juice mixed with soda. Smells of berries, aftertaste is on the sweet side of bittersweet. Goes down well, would enjoy this as a session beer, but I don’t get to belgium enough to buy much and it’s too pricey in England

Leffe blonde poured at chez Tomas in Amsterdam... Pours a clear duvel like pour, golden brown with a thin soapy white head...sweet Belgian sugars and banana and bready malts... Flavors are much ofthe same with soft grains, honey, and banana. Very drinkable and easily enjoyed. Medium carbonation and body. Well made for a blonde although a bit sweet in the finish. 7/4/7/4/13

Aroma bready malt, yeast and light noble hops. Deep golden color and absolutely clear. Thick white head and nice lacing. Taste is very sweet. Again strong yeast notes. Bready malt character. Little to know bitterness. Creamy almost too heavy in the mouth. Would like it dried out just a bit more. Yeast lingers long into the aftertaste.

2010 Walt Disney World food and wine festival at Epcot. Aroma creamy malt and citrus with moderate yeast scents. Appearance is golden yellow amber with a creamy head that lasts. Taste very smooth yeast and orange zest. Palate smooth medium to full feel and solid carbonation and good dry finish.

11.2 oz bottle into Trappist glass. Though it is filtered (very un-Belgian) it is still an attractive beer. Pours a bright golden hue with a medium collapsing head that leaves a skim and collar of foam and some big bubbles floating on the surface; leaves decent lace. Classic Belgian aroma: clean, phenols, full of Belgian yeast, some cheese, pepper, clove, minerals. Taste is sweet and lightly sour. Some bubblegum like flavors come out in the taste; kind of medicinal. Full-bodied with medium to high carbonation. A great beer that doesn’t seem to have suffered too much from its association to ass-giant InBev.

Poured a beautiful golden, clear color with frothy head. Aroma was banana-like. Medium sweetness, smooth to drink. Medium body, ave carbonation, with slightly bitter, lasting finish. This is great belgium abbey ale, at a good price. It has been my go-to belgium beer because of the affordabiltiy.

Powerful aroma as poured from bottle, clear light amber with minimal head. Very yeasty and spicy, flavorful blond, I like.
