| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2009 On tap at Croxley Alehouse, Rockville Centre (besides the hundreds of times I’ve had this before). Blonde with small head and lace. Very aromatic spicy aroma with candy sugar apricot fruitiness and spicy dry finish. Seemed quite fresh, surprisingly. Medium body. Pretty good. gyllenbock (244), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 15, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden color with a large and fluffy white head.
The aroma is quite sweet, with syrupy element. Flavor is very sweet with some spiciness, caramel and hints of banana. Drinkable but a bit too sweet for my taste. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2009 Had a generous quantity last weekend in Paris, at a sidewalk cafe. Does life get any better? People watching, getting out the rain, and enjoying good beer. Surely this is the way to enjoy this beer, on tap and not bottled. PalCabral (10), Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2009 Bottle from Systembolaget. Brilliant golden, spicy aroma, faint head. The taste is peppery, spices playing over your tongue. Finishes a bit short. No matter what they say about mass-produced beers, this is still a good one. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2009 Serving: 330 ml bottle.
Appearance: Clear gold with a large, pillowy, white head. Very good head retention.
Aroma: Very yeasty with notes of spicy clove, some banana, and a touch of solvent.
Flavor: Bubble gum and banana are the two most dominate flavors with notes of honey, yeast, and some candy sweetness. A bit on the over sweet side in my mind.
Palate: Medium-high carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium short, sweet finish.
Overall: A Belgian for the masses that is overly sweet and lacks the subtle nuances of the finer examples in it’s class. Still, it isn’t terrible by any means and certainly is a good standby when nothing better is around. DeputyAndy (69), New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Pours a clear honey colour with plenty of white foamy head. Slightly malty nose. Very straightforward, smooth blond that is incredibly easy to drink. Not a complex or noteworthy beer, but almost sessionable.
