Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

From a 330ml on 3/10/2010. Has that typical yeasty, fruity belgian ale aroma. Is very sweet and spicy, with fruit, honey and warming alcohol all present. Quite a nice beer, though not anywhere near as good as the brune.

330 ml bottle. Rated @ 30.6.2010.
Golden colour with a small white head. Toffee malt on the nose with a hint of citrus. Malt-driven taste with herbs and citrus. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Average.

Nice crisp beer. Smells of butterscotch.. Not the best abbey ale out there but a great value

Bottle in Belgium. Pours a somewhat cloudy orange color with a large white head. A nice sweet malty nose with some hops and spices. The flavor was great; a spicy flavor, almost hoppy, the usual sweet and dry Belgian malts, very creamy and drinkable. A nice spicy mix,

For the eyes: redish yellow; average, fizzy, white, diminishing head; flat body. For the nose: toffee malt; flowers and herbs hops; notes of banana and pineapple. For the mouth: light body; soft carbonation and metallic finish; light bitterness. For the tongue: balanced, durable flavour. For me: if you consider price to rate a beer, this is one of the best cost/benefit relation commercialized (in Brazil).

The aroma is much like the taste: a medium amount of citrus and spices. Overall not the best I have had, but definitely drinkable and worth a try.

One of my favourite beers. Nice colour with a thick foam head and a sweet aroma. Very drinkable and a sweet finish.

Pours pale amber with thick creamy white head and foamy lacing. Notes of wheat and clove. Taste reflects aroma with clove and malt sweetness. Smooth.
