Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Poured a semi-hazey yellow colour with a full white head. Aromas of yeast, spice, raspberries and red licorice. Mildly acidic, Taste is yeasty, and noticeable berry flavor.

Great. We have little question marks to press so we don’t have to actually form our own opinions now. Makes it easier to review: Hay, basement aromas, earthy, golden, hazy, frothy, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, average carbonation. I thought this tasted more like a Saison. Belgian Ale seems so generic. Average, not something I’ll probably look for again.

[1199-20080305] Tap. Sweet heavy yeast aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Flavour has a bit of sweet oatmeal and heavy bread yeast with a bit of banana in the finish. Light-medium body. Nice on tap, fresh.

dark golden pour with lots of carbination. Medium frothy/carbinated head. Banana, cloves and sweet fruit aroma. Much of the same with the flavor Banana and other ripe fruits. not bad good summer beer. Thin on the palate and very bubbley and nice finish. Exactley what you expect from a belgian.

draft at Everybody’s Pizza in Atlanta on 6/7/08. great Belgian abbey ale... this one is really good and surprising, given the mass distribution of it. wonderful spicy and banana / clove aromas. deep golden blonde appearance with little head. the spice carries through over the palate. very pleasant overall and a nice finish. a good choice when nothing really good is available.

Pours deep amber with white head and good lacings. Sweet malts, rich leathery hops. Has a bit of the smoked ham flavor. Otherwise a good blonde.

Draught at The Bishop’s Arms, Järntorget, Göteborg, Sweden. Amber with an offwhite head. Aroma is dominated by fruity hops with some maltiness giving hints of caramel. Simple yet pleasant flavor with slight bitter finish. Light carbonation.
