4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 progressive (62) - Lahti, FINLAND - SEP 12, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2011 This has a great caramel cereal chocolate aroma, and it’s not hard to drink at all. The aroma is something great... almost, but still not not tar, not syrup, not nuts, not banana, but really tastes a bit like wood tar water made "tar candies", but better, and long time after drinking that taste still comes in mouth, and smell. Nice! But after all, maybe too "sweet". The palate is fizzy but only like frogspawn - bubbles that don’t move, and it’s very nice, except that it fills mouth, also with air, and it’s not very pleasant. And actually there’s too much taste/aroma, so at least it’s not easy to drink. But it gets you drunk too easily, so that half a bottle is enough! I think this should be poured into little little glasses.

Pours yellow golden with a generous white head. Fruity aroma with some spices and yeast. Slight sweet taste with notes of citrus and herbs, still very refreshing and drinkable. Medium body, soft carbonation, and a medium after taste of yeast and nutmeg. Very good.

On tap. Gold, bubbly head. Light fruitiness, mild hops. A little boozy... Disappointed by this one.

Great beer, it has a hint something that tastes very similar to nutmeg, I don’t think it is but it could be. It is a similar beer to chimay. This beer is best enjoyed very chilled. Give it a try
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 curly (2201) - Seattle (Newcastle), Washington, USA - SEP 1, 2010
Pours clear yellow gold with a frothy white head that retains. Aroma of spicey yeast and lemony citrus. Taste has lots of yeasty flavor as well-banane, clove, bubblegum, with a slight hop bitterness on the finish. Medium light body, lively carbonation.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 larryLSB (268) - La Selva Beach, California, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Poured from 11.2 oz bottle, golden with medium white head. Nose of ripe bananas. Taste was on the sweet side, malty, a bit too much sweetness.
Good carbonation, medium bodied. Not bad, but not great maybe on the lower side of average.
