Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Moderately malted and slightly citrus’d, very clove-y with subtle honey and lemon in the taste. Pours a little fizzy with little to no head and tiny particles. Light yellow with amber hues. The taste is slightly sweet and acidic with a short but sweet finish. There is definitely alcohol in the body.

Aroma of cloves, honey, and fruit. Moderately sweet flavor lasting into the finish. Not quite the amount of flavor Belgian dubbel would have, but quite pleasant.

Yet another of the "I can’t believe I haven’t rated this" beers. Anyway, very "Belgian" aroma and flavor - yeasty and fruity. Dryish, slightly winey finish. OK, I suppose...

On tap at the Doerak, delft. One of my favourite quaffing beers. Blond colour, nice head

Has a light, sweet aroma. Clear and pale. Light, but rather sweet -- too sweet. Goes down good but I find it has a rather overpowering finish of cloves with a hint of honey. Won’t buy again, just too pronounced finish of cloves.

On tap at some random cafe in Paris. It’s my last day and they are all starting to look alike. Decent enough blond, but not earth shattering. The 2nd of two Leffe beers that I have enjoyed on this trip. The first, Leffe Triple, was hands down the better of the two beers. I did like this a bit though. Too sweet, but had a nice mouth feel. I would drink it again.

Not a bad beer, certainly, and it’s great on the way down, but the aftertaste is too sweet for my liking.

Deep gold, white creamy head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, with honey-like malt, pear, peach, and some orange-like citrusy hints. Taste is almost the same: Sweet (too sweet?) honey-like malt, pear and peach fruity flavours. Finish is a little short, lightly spiced and fruity. Not much complex, but not a bad choice in a supermarket.
