Very bright flavor, with lots of clove and some fruity sweetness. Not something I’d drink every day, but I’d definitely take one that was offered to me. Dredd (488), Ormond, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 25, 2008 This really is the benchmark Blond. Nice sweet and sweet aroma. White head and amber body. Flavour is sweet upfront that quickly moves to spice and bitterness on the back end. There is a slight hole in the flavour during transition, but considering this is now a macro brew on a global scale it is still very much a well made and well crafted beer.
I’ve tried many blond beers, few compare and i can’t think of any that beat it. UnholyBrewing (448), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 24, 2008 Updated: Jan 17, 2009...bottle. Damn good abbey beer. Pours a clear, golden yellow, with a small white head that fades in the chalice glass. Nice creaminess, slightly fruity with great clove notes and hints of citrus. Yeast flavors with a nice spicyness that blends well with the malt notes. Smooth to drink, and you would never know it’s 6.6%, the malt hides all the alcohol taste. Dry finish with only a slight alcohol noticed when it warms. Good beer brewed by drunken monks who know the art of brewing. Sparky27 (1583), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2008 330ml bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a 2 finger head that fades fairly quickly. Nose is grain, yeast and sugar. Palate is bread, spice, and a touch of fruity sweetness like white grapes with slight bitter hop finish. Medium mouth feel with nice lacing. It’s an ok blonde about what I expected. vikasdesai (15), USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 22, 2008 very easy to drink, best when cold from a tap, sweet and spicy and generally very pleasant, best "macro" belgian, much better than blue moon, stella or hoegaarden Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA

Really, really nice head that stuck around. As expected the aroma was citrus like and sweet. the taste was also citrus like and it tasted as if there were a lot of Belgian sugars in there. A very good summer beer. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA
