Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium Apr 7, 2008 Clear blonden gold coloured beer white average white head. Nice carbonation. Malty sweet aroma. Full bit creamy palate. Finish is bitter and little dry. Good one. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Apr 6, 2008 Found this one bottled at Top Shelf in South Elgin, Illinois. Nice spicy and citrusy aroma. The flavor is typical of the style, with strawberry, kiwi, clove and baked bread all in there. Nice and complex finish, and strong. Delicious. Sregnar35 (729), Rotterdam, New York, USA Apr 6, 2008 On tap at Mahars. Pours a creamy yellow with a thick head. Aroma is tangy metallic. Flavor is very sweet and sour with an acidic bite, not overly strong but close. rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 3, 2008 Pours a clear gold color with 2 fingers of white foamy head. Aroma of spices, yeast and malt. Flavor of banana, yeast, malt trace amounts of spices and fruit. Nice brew. budweiserblows (31), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Apr 2, 2008 A good solid beer. Looks amazing in the glass. Gorgeous amber color with the perfect amount of head. Taste is great but nothing mind-blowing. naivepegasus (183), USA Mar 28, 2008 pours a light, clear orange witih a fair amount of stark-white, light head. Spice and orange peel in the odor. A little of caramel and sweet fruit in the taste, with a bit of a hop bitterness in the aftertaste. It’s a pretty good beer, but its not my favorite type of Belgium beer. gringo332 (235), Richardson, Texas, USA Mar 28, 2008 Updated: Apr 16, 2008Wonderful beer. Will buy again. A lot more flavor than Hoegaarden. This is a sweet ale. I usually prefer dark beers, but this one hits the spot. BernardusFife (3), USA does not count Mar 27, 2008 I hate to say this, but I prefer Hoegaarden. Maybe the cost difference accounts for the bias, if there is any. Still a great beer, worth buying and drinking again.
