Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

(33cl bottle, bought in Bochum) Clear, golden colour with a big but not very persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly sugary grainy and slightly fruity nose with dust and faint hoppy notes. Sweet, slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pale malt-character, slightly grainy and fruity taste; moderately sweet, slightly tart and alcoholic finish with subtle fruity elements. Standard brew (10.03.08).

pours a golden amber with a white head. aroma is bannana, yeasty, malty, dusty. taste is much of the same. mid-light bodied with a fluffy mouthfeel. only decent for the style, not too exciting. pretty standard, and would probably be okay in a session. some might call it girly, but those some are dummies anyway. eh. never been much of a fan of blondes, but you might. give it a shot, but don’t expect wonders.

I found this beer to have a cotten candy type flavor that was appealing to me. For having a high %alc the flavor was not taken over by it.

I tried this beer on February 21, 2008 after purchasing from my local LCBO outlet. This beer poured an translucent orangy-gold with a thin, creamy white head. The aroma was slighty yeasty with some malty and hoppy hints. The mouthfeel was full-bodied, creamy, and amply carbonated. The taste was dryish, yeasty, with a little bit of sweetness. A very good beer.

On tap at the Loggerheads, Nottingham and bottled. For a corporate beer, this is very good and I was ungenerous the first time I had it. Spicy, tangy and slightly bready with a touch of orange or possibly orange rind. A good, if pricey, choice at a bar or pub without decent cask beer.

Pours a clear golden color with thin white head. Aroma is light spiciness, sweet bread, and sweet malt. Taste is bit yeasty with some light spice and fruit...sort of banana and apple with a dash of white grape. Lightly carbonated and pretty easy to drink. However, the malt interferes with the rest of the flavors and holds everything back.

Very clear blond, indeed, with a creamy two finger head. A little sweet, very refreshing, with a clean finish. A great brew for a spring day.
