MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Jan 2, 2008 Bottle. The wife picked up a 18 pack of Belgium beer from Costco and it had a sixer of this in it. This stuff is being marketed like crazy lately. Pours a pale yellow gold with thin disapearing head. Aroma is sweet and malty like a crappy pale lager but has some hints of spice and yeast. Flavor is much improved over the nose and comes with a fair amount of sweetness but improved with a peppery and spicy finish with hints of honey and faintly perfumy hop. A fizzy and light mouthfeel help things seem more "belgian" than the taste alone would imply. Just enough dryness in the end to cause another drink but a licking of the upper lip gets you all honey malt again. Flawed in my opinion, but not bad. BuckeyeBoy (1637), Boise, Idaho, USA Dec 31, 2007 On tap Boise Flying Pie. this brew pours out a light goldish topped with a white head. A nice aroma of yeast and spice. tast was pretty good. I picked up some more of that spice along with some sweetness. Not a bad Belgian. TrefwoordPunk (549), Leiden, Netherlands Dec 31, 2007 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow (blond) with a medium white head and sweet aroma. The taste is sweet malt with hints of caramel, spices, vanilla, honey and hop. A medium spicey and later on hoppy finish. Pretty good! joeyplush (328), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 30, 2007 This is a very solid Belgian Ale. I like the lower alcohol content, combined with the overall quality of this brew. The aroma has hints of floral, citrus, and banana. The appearance is golden, clear, and frothy - very nice head and lacing. The palate has a medium body, is creamy and lively, and has a nice, long finish. Think I’ll crack another one!
