Commercial Description:
Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

This beer starts foaming as soon as you crack it open even before you put it into a glass.Once you pour it out there is a massive head that stays for a while with a golden clear color and nice laceing. There is not much of a smell just hops and weat. As you drink it the flavor is very creamy and smooth with mild hints of lemon and hops. The palate is very frothy and creamy which makes this beer very enjoyable to drink.

Ginormous soapy bubble bath head that remains for 5 minutes. Rich gold color. Aroma is not striking at all - lemon heavy with a very mild citrus dishwashing detergent scent. But an eminently drinkable beer with a medium body mouthfeel. Awe-inspiring, no. Tastes like it doesn’t want to take any chances and be a wallflower. Nothing offensive but nothing inspiring.

Bottle. Brilliant golden color, huge billowy h\white head provides alots of lace. Very fruity aroma with sour, bready notes and hints of raspberry and peach. Flavor is from prominent yeast strain, pilsener malt, toast, maybe some candi sugar. Noble hops are subtle. Some spice notes in background. Pretty dry. Very good.

Bottle. Golden with a thick, frothy white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. There’s plenty of carbonation visible. It’s aroma is marginally malty with banana overtones. It is smooth on the palate and has an apple backdrop beneath a good malt component and there are hints of alcohol. The finish is pleasantly bitter without lasting too long. Crisp and refreshing.

Pours deep gold. The aroma is frothing with banana and some yeast. Full bodied. Sweet, caramel and banana ride alongside an alcohol warmth. Dry hops in the aftertaste. Good beer -- but I prefer the brune.

9/18/07 On draught. Aroma is estery fruit forward with pepper tones followed by some sweet malt. Appearance is a clear gold with a solid white head. Flavor is almost as estery with a distinct spiciness and a bit more malt character. No hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium carb feel. Overall, this is another approachable Belgian that never seems to get the respect it deserves.
