StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Feb 28, 2006 A light, orangey amber coloured beer with a weak, frothy white head. The nose is sweet and a bit spicy, distinctly of that of cloves. There is also a hint of lemony citrus fruit. The flavour is again sweet, the spicy clove of the aroma is present, there is also a maltiness towards the end. The finish has a slight smokiness to it alongside the sweetness. Bottle, purchased from Larners of Holt, Norfolk, on special offer!
PMgep (33), Lund, Sweden Dec 2, 2008 [330 ml bottle] Kind of hard to rate since I have been drinking Leffe for so many years. It tastes Leffe! Spices and herbs in the aroma and flavor. BREWMUSKCLES (818), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Nov 29, 2008 a bit too sweet for me i find it slick and syrup like. chalky and with typical spiciness that seems a bit washed out. a bit of banana and apple actually it does go nice on an appropriate sunny spring day where the moderate body and playful carbonation lends some soul. clearly out of sorts with myself on this one....this is a good beer for a knowledgeable beer enthusiast who knows what he or she wants! Ok beer.
AlabastorJones (634), San Francisco, California, USA Nov 27, 2008 Delicate banana yeast nose, sweet, crystal clear filtered golden color with beautiful lace, spritzy mouthfeel, smooth malts, bright fruit, sweet and heading towards dry on the finish, very tastey, excellent belgian blonde, this was excellent research for the belgian blonde I’ll brew on saturday... junon (154), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Nov 27, 2008 Slight citrus aroma with little alcoholic smell. Big loose white head with extreme lacing. Appearance throws me off. Taste very difficult for me to describe. Its just tastes like "beer" with a little bite to it. Easy to drink.
