Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Tasted from bottle into nucleated pint glass. Poured a clear, light golden color with creamy, lasting white head, some fine lace. Aromas of grass and grain, a little hops, and definitely some subtle Belgian yeast notes: clove, coriander, citrus, pepper. Some drinkers have suggested banana and bubble gum, but I didn’t detect those esters. The flavor is that of a neutral pale ale grainbill, no pronounced malt sweetness or hops bitterness. But again, the complexity comes from the fermentation. Light-medium body, somewhat watery mouthfeel, with lingering fruit and spice in the finish. Very nice. Goes down easy, much more satisfying to the senses than an adjunct light lager.

One of my friends bought this one at Valsao wine/gifts in Mexicali for about $60 pesos.I already knew the Brune version wihch i liked better but this one its not bad ,quite complex, too much clove really a touch of banana ,knid of sparkling for an Ale very refreshing at the same time, some slight vainilla also.Nice

Poured from the 12oz. bottle into an over-sized wine glass. The color is clear bubbly orange with a finger of foamy white head ans some thick lacing on the glass. The smell is a little grainy with some old malt flavor, some old leather glove flavor with some corn flavor and a touch of a malty finish. The taste has grainy flavor that has a sticky malt flavor that is a bit detached from the the overall flavor profile of this beer. There is a bit of a cream corn flavor that mixes with a sweet sugar flavor that seems to be on quick release from the get-go. A surprise is needed in this beer it seems to delivered but is not that surprising. The feel of this beer has a bit of a smooth body but a complex aftertaste that is in the middle and at both ends, a bit interesting.

12 oz. poured into tulip glass. Golden color medium carbonation. Fruity belgian aroma. First sip is pleasing to the palate. Medium body malty and sweet with a delicate hint of bavarian hops. Very nice blonde. There is something to be said for the complexity and subtlety of belgian ale. Unparalleled.

Bottle. Belgian style. Pours golden with a substantial head. Similar to many other belgian ales; however, easily available while being very enjoyable. Overall, I approve.

Leffe Blonde has a medium, cream-colored, fluffy head and a clear, golden-orange appearance with lots of streaming bubbles and thin lacing. The aroma is of coriander and cloves, and the taste is of cloves, coriander, bananas, corn bread, cracker, and other unknown flavors. The mouthfeel is medium, and Leffe Blond finishes pleasant, refreshing, mild, and delicious. Overall, this is an excellent beer, and I think you should rush out and buy it! RJT

33cl bottle and drought. Pours a nice golden with a medium snow head. Leaves a fine layer with stains. Nose : Yeasty with an apple/cherry notes. Caramel/toffee. Sip : Nice creamy body, fine carbonation with a sweet feeling. Little bitter hops on the end. After couple of sips I feel some peach notes. Still creamy. But the ending is light bitter hops. Alcohol. Refreshing. This is a common Belgian pale beer. It’s a good drought beer too. When there is nothing else to choose, I DO enjoy a leffe blonde. Drinkable.

On tap from Pub Italia. Nice beer. Pours with a big pillowy head that sticks around all night. Definitely on the sweet side in the mouth. Creamy, lovely beer.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2011 pours fantastic golden amber with large white head. aroma consists of yeast, honey and cloves. taste is very sweet, with cloves, and a sticky honey quality. its not overly carbonated, but leaves very good lacing on the glass. it is predominantly a sweet beer, but I find there is some lingering bitterness,. a long finish, and a little warmth of alcohol. delicious, drinkable, and at 6.6%, even a little deadly..
