3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jpknight22 (171) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 12, 2002
One of the better ales I’ve had, although I’ve only experienced it on tap in Belgium. Very fizzy and an aftertaste that reminded me of wild lavender - a litte too flavored for my tastes but interesting nonetheless...
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mutant (854) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 11, 2002
Aroma of hops & corriander, a bit darker than most blondes. The lightish flavour is nice enough. It’s far from the best Belgian but goes down easily.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 confusedboy0 (99) - BELGIUM - AUG 6, 2002
Once I was out with some friends (4 days). We played poker. We drunk Leffe. There was no triple anymore, so we drunk a full house. (2 blonds and three brunes)
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 sethatuml (38) - USA - AUG 1, 2002
Sweet flavor. Almost fruity, but not. Maybe not worth the expensive import money.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Strange Brew (156) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 30, 2002
Pale in colour with not much of a head, it’s deceptively easy to drink for a strong beer. Not one of the best Belgian ales, but OK.
1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Hildigöltur (5107) - København, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2004 Quite uninteresting fruity aroma. Mild taste with vanilla notes. The palate is strange and rather unpleasant. Definately not one of the best abbey beers.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nuffield (3090) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 25, 2002
Lots going on in the flavor, not necessarily predicted by its rather more average appearance (lager-like once the head is gone). Bitterness and yet a lingering sweetness. Alcoholic effervescence apparent, to an unfortunate degree. (on tap, Lowlander, Drury Lane, London)
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 radiomgb (2078) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 20, 2002
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2003 Golden colour, large fizzy head, fruity aroma. Not something I could drink often.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 SETANTA (582) - Bangor, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 18, 2002
one of my first forays into belgian beers, not as ’strangely’ yeasty as some I’ve had
