Interesting, it reminds me of a lager mixed with a full bodied Belgian. Some characteristics such as the spice, yeast, and wine like mouth feel are really very appealing, while the strong grainy corn flavour is somewhat of a turn off. It is easy to drink, but almost makes me feel like someone poured a Bud into my Westmalle.

Pours with a large fluffy head. Golden clear pour. Honey and doughiness come through in the nose. A bit on the sweet side, nice body and mouthfeel with wispy bubbles. Finished with a honey aftertaste, no trace of alcohol

I had a pint in a pub, wow it didnt half knock me back. Rather sweet but golden in colour, i thought it was the pubs special lager, but when i sipped it i realised it was an ale, not unlike duvel, after the pint was drunk i stood up and found my legs did not function, no wonder it cost a lot.

I was very dissappointed with this beer. I thought it be really good because of the beers it trys to aline itself with - buy it can’t hold a candle to the other belgian ales out there. Its available in almost every beer distributor in my area but --- not a good beer - compared to others/

This starts out all trappist and then it has a funny aftertaste but then it tastes better about half the way down.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium yellow color, think head and rather bubbly. Aroma of bready yeast, sugar and a hint of hops. Flavor is sweet and light, with notes of lemon, pils malts and a little general sweetness. Finish is clean.

Pours a clear, dark gold, with a rather large white head. Good lacing. Nose is malts and yeast, slightly sweet. Flavor follows suit. Really, a very nice ale.

Medium head with a clear yellow color and a slightly sweet aroma. It has a sweet, fruity flavor that lingers on the tongue. Satisfying at first taste, but the satisfaction wears by the finish.

Beautifull. Like drinking home-made cookie dough. One of my favourite beers. Clear, light amber colour hides the full body, and sweet thickness of this beer. Friuty and flowery with a thick head, and great lacing. Best on tap when you can find a pub that pours authentic Belgian style. Drink it right at 70 degrees.

330ml bottle. Good aroma, appearance, flavour and palate. I like this beer but unfortunately I have to drive 10 and take a 6 hour ride on a ferry to get this beer again.
