3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2006 Nice blond abbey beer. You donít taste much of the 6,6% alcohol volume and thatís a good thing I think. Pleasant taste, a bit sweet and fruity. Very refreshing

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at the Medway Beer Festival 2006 on 18/11/06 - Always a good, safe bottled beer. Strong and sweet, but refreshing. If I get a bottle of this, it is not "Leffe" in the fridge for very long!

Just like itís companion, the brune, this holds too many estery banana notes for my taste. Itís quite weissbier like. Lucky me there are so many better abbey beers.

A beautifully crafted ale with sublimely smooth balanced delivery; rounded fruity hoppy aroma and rewarding long finish make this one a masterpiece.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Just had this for the first time a little bit ago. A perfectly good beer with a nice amber colour and a head that descends a little and sits there. Definately has a fruity taste, which I initially thought to be banana and most here agree, so Iíll go with that. Nice finish that doesnít leave an aftertaste. Easy to drink with a nice palate.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark Golden in color. Thin white head. Heavy aroma of banana nut bread. Sweet malt, fruit, nuts, yeast are a few flavors. A little too much sweet malt for my taste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 mL bottle. Golden-orange with just a film of persistent head. Aroma is spicy, with a hint of fruit. There is initial bitterness, but after that the taste is quite sweet - even the alcohol underlay seems sticky-sweet. The spice (cloves) continues as well with the addition of a yeasty flavour on the sides. Good, but not as good as I thought itíd be; too sweet.
