"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2007 An everyday Belgian ale. Somewhat yeasty, nice hop character, smooth drinking with citrus zest coming through in the back of throat. Pours a dark golden color with a nice cloudy head. Good brew.

Bottle. Pours a perfect blonde color with a fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity. The flavor is of bananas, sugar, and a bit of a grassy hop. A little alcohol comes to the party as the beer warms, but not offfendingly.

Bottiglia da 33cl comprata alla Standa a Ventimiglia; versata nel bicchiere ’ufficiale’ appaiato. Schiuma candida persistente e colore dorato leggermente scuro; aroma scarso e più che altro lievitoso. Corpo leggero, sapore dolciastro ma tendenza all’amarognolo. Forse la più cheap delle birre "d’abbazia" (ovviamente escludendo la terribile e insapore Affligem), è comunque piuttosto potabile.

much inferior to the brune counterpart... hoppy but very weak aroma and flavor

Had this on draft at La Terrasse de Pomone, Paris in a cool little Leffe goblet on 05-26-07. Nice slightly hazy gold with a 1 finger white head. Nice lacing. Bread, sweet candy, powdered sugar, and caramel in the aroma. Very pungent even at the end of the beer. Light floral hops, caramel, a certain grassy sourness and candied sugar to the taste. A little grass, floral, and sweetness follow but quickly fade. Good carbonation and a creamy medium body. I nailed the style when I made a Duvel comparison. Great aroma, but the sourness clashed with the candy/sugar taste badly. Not bad overall.

My fave, especially in 750 ml corked (altho have NOT had draught). Not over powered by alcohol with perfect balance of fruit, spice and yeast flavor. I cannot get enough, especially with good hearty food - schnitzel, steak - or just watching TV. The pour is perfect with thick creamy head.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2007 Pours a very light golden color with a tiny head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is spiced with notes of yeast and wheat. The beer is very refreshing. One of my favorite blonds. Nice crisp beer and very easy to drink.

Golden hazy poor with a frothy off-white head. Aromas of apple puree, cinnamon, hints of ginger, orange zest and coriander. Creamy mouthfeel with a good balance between bitter and sweet. Medium bodied but missing a little character.

Bottle. The aroma is phenolic. A little like the odor of a Spanish olive. The color is coppery, and the white head is vigorous. Medium bodied. Moderately carbonated. Fruit, spice and some sweetness. The finish is decent, and the aftertaste is tolerably fruity and lightly spicy. Good to drink.
