UPDATED: MAY 31, 2004 Quite uninteresting fruity aroma. Mild taste with vanilla notes. The palate is strange and rather unpleasant. Definately not one of the best abbey beers.

Lots going on in the flavor, not necessarily predicted by its rather more average appearance (lager-like once the head is gone). Bitterness and yet a lingering sweetness. Alcoholic effervescence apparent, to an unfortunate degree. (on tap, Lowlander, Drury Lane, London)

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2003 Golden colour, large fizzy head, fruity aroma. Not something I could drink often.

Light aroma, some fruitiness, some malty notes. Golden body with a small, quickly diminishing head gives way to a relatively lightly flavored beer--semi-sweet, with hints of green apples and pears. A bit too much effervescence for my taste.

Pours a light golden color with thick head even when cold. Aroma not to pronounced, light malt smell. Rather bland and uninspiring flavor. No tartness, no hops, no feeling on the tounge. This seems to be what I would call the Miller Light of Belgian Ales. Disappointed.

Nice refreshng beer, not as good as most Belgian Ales.

Vanilla or apricot scent and flavour. Godd head retentionin glass and nice dark golden colour.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2007 Bubblegummy yeast and slight malt fruitiness…Clean and quite light…Not a favorite, but a well-brewed, standard Belgian ale…
