I was pleased to try another Belguim. Itís suprisingly good because itís pretty common-thatís not necessarily a bad thing though. The aroma is yeasty and spicy. I like itís dark amber colour. Itís now quite common in my house. Itís pretty good but could be better.

Leffe blond is THE Belgian session beer. Excellent appearance in its tulip chalice, widely available on draught in Europe itís remarkably good for sucha popular beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden body with a sustained, large white head. Aroma of spice, yeast and malt. Flavor is malty and smooth, followed by a long spicy finish. Somewhat subdued by Belgian standards, but very tastey and easy drinking.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This yellow-colored ale poured with a large, long-lasting fluffy head. The flavor is malty and spicy, with a very carbonated mouthfeel. Drinkable, but not remarkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I thought this beer was very good...it tasted a bit like a tripel, but was extremely drinkable. It was spicy and light, but very good.
Color is a dark amber with an abundant head.
Aroma is spices and light alcohol esters.
Taste is spicy (clove and coriander?) and a big boldness reminiscent of a Belgian tripel, and this beer had the fairly big mouthfeel of a tripel.
Yet, this beer was very drinkable.

Leffe is delicious. Itís not as good as Chimay, but itís got a lot of flavor and itís worth savoring from an open wine glass or a Belgiam Ale glass, if you have one.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
LIght golden color with exceptional clarity. Nose has that yeasty and floral smell that is indicative of a Belgian. Very smooth and creamy with a long finish. Senses are a bit dulled from the 9% Chimay Bleue I just consumed, but this is a great beer.

Beautiful golden color and creamy head. Smooth to drink with floral bouquet. Thoroughly enjoyable given itís ubiquity and price.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a golden color with a nice big fluffy creamy head that laces all the way to the end of the quaff. Nose is actually a little odd. Not nearly as nice as the Saxo brew that I just enjoyed, but I hope the flavor comes close to that one.... Nope, it doesnít, but itís not terrible. Sweetness and a bit of bubble gum and spice come through but the palate is a little thin and the carb a little too large... the bubbles arenít champagne like,as a good Belgian always has. Interesting flavor, although I think it is rushed a bit. Still OK though, and better than a lot of beers out there.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Transparent golden with decent white head. Aroma is astringent cleaner with some yeasty bread and residuel sugars mixed in. Flavor very muddled. Residuel sugar, harsh dusty malt and alcohol for a finish. Mouthfeel rather thin. Below average overall.
