"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Pours a light yellow clear color with a small amount of fizzy white head...kinda looks like swill poured into a trappist glass. Aroma is sweet malts, banana, yeast, coriander, and slight bits of pepper. Flavor is light bannaney, very sweet and caramely, and bubbly. Overall, just a so so brew.

Pours a golden colour with a loooooong lasting head. Tart, fruit and pepper nose. Thick honey and apple flavour, the 6.6% alcohol making it’s presence felt. (330ml bottle)

Bubbly long-lasting head over a pretty golden ale. Pepper and buuble gum in the aroma. Fruity/yeasty/spicy flavors in a fairly complex brew. Sparkling mouthfeel and a decidedly bitter hop finish.

The aroma is complex and unique. It smells like bubble gum, cloves, floral hops, malt, yeast, pepper, and fruit. The appearance is golden and the head is large. The flavor is as unique as the aroma with many of the same qualities. The taste of bubble gum, spices, bread like malt and yeast, as well as a fruity flavor that is hard to define, are all in there. Also, the alcohol and hops are quite assertive in this one. Palate is weak for the style but its smooth. Aftertaste is bitter and yeasty with some lingering fruitiness. Even though this has all the makings of a really good beer (except for the bubble gum) the flavors just don’t seem to come together well and it falls short of being a really good beer, but its still above average.

It’s smells wonderful, I just wish it would smell more! Fantastic yeasty, spicy aroma, with frutiness and hoppiness. Weak flavour of...beer. A bit watery for a Belgian, it probably would taste fantastic without filtering.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2006 This is standard faire for a Belgian Ale - golden colored with a big-bubbled head. The nose is a bit salty or peppery, and the taste is mostly over-sweet, bready malts with a bit of a bitterness that certainly doesn’t stick around long enough to lend any complexity to the brew. The mouthfeel is thin, but this is disguised by a heavy carbonation that tickles the tongue. Think: liquid baguette.
