"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Dark golden with a white cottonball head, ton of lace. Warm and very spicy yet smooth aroma, touches of clove, cinnamon, banana, cucumber and sticky malts. Aromas leave one by one as the beer moves over the tongue to the back of my mouth finishing qutie clean. Not the most interesting brew, but quite good for the price.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2003 Golden with a fluffy head. Aroma of banana and something more that icant define. Maybe something spicy... Tastes too much of alcohol, this is not my kind of beer...

I really dug this beer... had it in Bruges with a spectacular salmon dish served by a downright bastard of a person... which had no effect on my beer tasting experience obviously; very mellow with the trademark belgian spiciness... sweet banana and slight coriander nose with a spicy sweet bread flavor with a gorgeous dry finish. subtle... yet very delicious. I really loved this beer... which is very strange

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2005 Luminous blonde with a generous white head, well-laced. Malty cereals aroma. Sweet from the beginning, it rapidly gets almost tart. Alcohol is noticeable as well as lots of cloves.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2008 Original Rating, July 20, 2003:Had at one of the boats tied up just across from Notre Dame in Paris. Lovely golden color and large head. A little malt along with a slightly earthy tone. Some tartness too. A good start to Belgians. 6/4/7/4/16 Re-rating, August 19, 2008: Man, been a long time since I’ve had this one. Gold color with a small head. Yeasty and spicy aroma. More Noble hop bitterness taste than I remembered. Light candi sugar and malt. Plenty of Belgian yeast character. Really more solid than the overall score indicates.

Bottled, pasteurised. Yellow golden with big head. Spicey herbal & floral but overcarbonated and a little tart. Reasonable alcohol, but missing a certain something that would make it a good beer. Average.

An interesting if somewhat weak aroma. Has a great bronze/gold colour. Small persistant white head. Bready malt with a faint hint of spice. Some alcohol peeks in but just enough to give it a tartness. Nice overall.

This is a very good beer. I prefer this to the leffe brune. And I can say that with conviction as I had them one after the other. After trying this beer it has made me want to travel to belgium because of the taste and appearance!

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2003 Re-rate 11/03 Bit more fruit and yeast in the aroma and flavour than I had caught the first time. Not sure where I got the coriander from. Oct 2000 - Not much body. Coriandery? and spices. Didn't enjoy it very much I prefer the Leffe Brune.
