"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

UPDATED: APR 3, 2005 Draft, snifter. Straw/gold hue. No variation in color. Tall, white, frothy, lasting head leaves great lacing. Banana, hay, flowers, bread aromas. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Clean aroma and flavor. The bottom line is: So it’s not the most complex, but hell, it tastes like BANANA NUT BREAD!!! I was expecting to slam this, but I can’t. Maybe I just had that one glass out of a million, but it was pretty damn good.

I’ve had a few bottles now too...it’s still pretty damn good in my book. A little more acidic in the bottles.

I’d only drink Leffe Blond if it was the only Belgian beer I was likely to see for a very long time. It has a very ’industrial beer’ quality to it--lacking in charm, style or distinctive flavor. It’s also hoppier than usual for an abbey beer--as is it’s stablemate Stella Artois in the lager category. Aside from availability, I see nothing to recommend this puppy.

A nice golden color with a floral rose aroma. Some honey notes in both the taste and the aroma. Again another sweet malt beer, but better tasting than some of the others I have tried.

Active gold color with some shiny orange and a big white head that produces nice lacing. The aroma is a tad sour with light malt and a hint of yeast. Also some nice fruit in the clean aroma. Velvete smooth feel, sweet malts and a sizeable yeast feel and flavor. Good clean sweet finish.

My favorite of the not-so-strong beers if freshly tapped. Very smooth, accessible taste, a bit sweet.

Now available as a regular in Wetherspoons. Great ale. Warm and spicy with an attractive glow. Very refreshing. And quite heady. This will catch up on you. Not a session beer.

Clear pale color, light head, moderate carbonation and no lacing. Nose of pale malt, citrusy yeast and crisp hopping. The flavor is watery and crisp with bitterness & tangy yeast. A bit too clean for the style with sharp alcohol and yeast notes. Finishes creamy and acidic but nicely balanced for me.

Gold with a white foamy head and sheets of lace. Lots of yeast and sourdough with lemon citrus. Grassy hops and musky malts. Some notes of spice. Lemon citrus again with tons of coriander and yeast. Some banana esters. Sourdough again with a touch of pilsener malts. Fruity and spicy tail.

Had on draft at local pub. Clear golden yellow with a small head. Aroma was a bit of banana some light maltiness and yeastiness. Flavor was light maltiness with a belgian yeastiness. Medium bodied with a slight yeast aftertaste. This is a very refreshing belgian ale.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2005 Bottle Pours a light brown, golden color with a large fluffy white head. Blocky lacing adhears to the sides. Classic belgian, light spice notes. Some yeasty, slightly musty aromas as well. Flavors are about what I expected, light malts and easy on the hops. Light fruit flavors, maybe a little banana and bubble-gum. Quite lively carbonation and a fairly bitter finish.
