3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Interesting subtle black pepper like aroma in the nose, a hint of clove phenolics, some cheesy hops and alcohol (all not overpowering or dominate). Sweet, both malt & corn, more cheesy hop character. Low bitternes, medium body. Mostly a boring beer, although because it is made in Belgium many Americans will find it outstanding, strange phenomenon.

A solid Belgian ale, goes down smoothly after a hearty meal. Really sweet aroma, though the finish is slightly disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Prominent balanced aroma, familiar ale mouthfeel, light maltiness, nice overall; though there is an odd musty note running through the finish, I have noticed this on other Belgian beers too. I’ll just have to rack up a few more to get used to it.

Beautiful floral nose, honeyish orange with hints of wholemeal bread. Cloying light finish. Low ether but warming.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice yeasty notes with sweet citrus and vanillan flavours. It had a creamy head and a full texture. The only problem it finished unbalanced. Much nicer on tap than out of the bottle.

I guess Belgian blonds are not my favourite style, the yeast becomes too dominant in both aroma and flavour, not least in this one. Of course it’s better than any macro swill, but give me a darker beer, please!

Cascade hops overly prominent, but still drinkable.

Great yeast smell. Pretty, deep golden colour, smallish head. Strong bite at first, bitter, bread like, complex. Nice finnish, complex. Always enjoyable.
