Keg and bottle: Filtered.
Uses Vieux Temps yeast.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2003 This is my re-rate now that I've had a couple more from this dreaded 6-pack that I bought. The key to being able to drink this beer (enjoyably) is to pour it into a goblet glass and just let it sit for about 15 minutes. The flavor becomes somewhat enjoyable. A fruity-spice complex. Nothing top-notch, but not THAT bad. I am bumping up my rating slightly in the flavor and overall cat's.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2006 A pleasant gold with a loose head. The nose is subtle and is lightly spicy with cloves. The mouthfeel is full and fruity with a dry finish. RE-RATE: All of the above but a bit more in that I really enjoyed this beer so much more than before. There is a real depth of flavour that was missing before and it is quite truly a well constructed beer.

Golden colour, small white head. Drinkable, but a little boring (little sweet, little yeasty).

This beer is interesting. Not bitter, slightly yeasty. I get an overpowering bubblegum flavor, however, that detracts from the other elements of this brew.

Gold in color with a head of large bubbles that is fading fast. Aroma of coriander. Nice coriander flavor. I love coriander. Not much of a finish though. Overly carbonated.

(on draught at Belgian Beer Café Belle Vue, Kiev, Ukraine) Golden. Fresh yeasty aroma. Juicy Fruit-like flavor with notes of banana.

Fresh and yeasty aroma. Champagne-like palate. Some yeast and sweetness in the flavour, though a bit less than exoected.

Lizabeth (360) - east falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 2, 2003
Sweet golden blond beer with a fluffy head that faded quickly. Smell is banana, candy sugar and coriander. Taste is banana, light fruit ( peaches and apricots) clove, coriander and pepper. Rather light for a Belgian ale, but not bad, and overall a tasty brew.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2008 This was good. I can taste that its a quality brew. 6/3/4/4/12.

RERATE: (consumed 12/27/06, 12oz Bottle). Golden pour with some depth. Very minimal head of soapy white film. Aroma is mild sweetness. Flavor is sweet, slightly alcoholic as it warms. There really isn’t much too this beer. The yeast flavor lets you know its Belgian, but their really isn’t much else. 5/3/5/3/11

12oz bottle from the same six-pack as the 12/27/06 rating. About one year old. The color and presentation of this beer is pretty impressive. The aroma is sweet, yeasty and with definite alcohol presence - although not unwelcome. The flavor is sweet, dusty yeast and some spiciness that is mild but obvious. Easy to drink. 6/4/6/4/16

2006 Bottle. Approximately 2 years old. Pours a vivid gold color wit a big fluffy white head of tight creamy bubbles. The aroma is a spritzy lemon/orange. Teh flavor is smooth and refreshing. Citrus but with a sweet malty finish. I think I prefer this beer with age, which is counter to my tastes lately. 7/5/7/4/16

Dark golden with a white cottonball head, ton of lace. Warm and very spicy yet smooth aroma, touches of clove, cinnamon, banana, cucumber and sticky malts. Aromas leave one by one as the beer moves over the tongue to the back of my mouth finishing qutie clean. Not the most interesting brew, but quite good for the price.
