"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Bottle. Sweet aroma. Light golden in color. Sweet taste, but a good balance of hops. Just the right amount of carbonation.

Bottled. Pours clear golden color huge frothy creamy white head. Aroma is typical belgian ale. Lots of Belgian yeast, fruity esters, banana, cloves, little bit of pear, little bit of dark fruit. Flavor is light, crisp, lots of banana, honey, sweet malt, belgian yeast. Fairly traditional. Solid, nothing exceptional, but very solid.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2015 OK, I’m being harsh on the note, but I really don’t like this beer that sometimes people see as the symbol of Belgian beers. It’s an industrial beer and unless I have the choice between this and a Bud Light, I wouldn’t have it...

Bottle from The Abbey. Pours a semi-clear golden amber. Really nice frothy head and even better lacing. Aroma is light fruits, taste is much of the same; some citrus and banana. Medium body with a very nice creamy finish. Acquire. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear nice yellow color, small white head. Smells wonderful, caramell, a hint of banana and dried fruits, some spices. Taste is well balanced between sweet and lightly sour with a medium bitterness. Aftertaste holds some neat malt and cereal notes, with a decent caramel hint. Medium mouthfeel with a fresh, sparkling carbonation. Did I say I like this beer? Encountered it once in France and love it till then.

I’ve an affinity for this Belgian beater as it was one of my first from the country and after many a moon, still a decent example of the style. About as clear and blonde as anyone could reasonably request, a handsome ivory head is ever fed by rising bubbles. A whiff presents scents of wheat, bubblegum, basement must, yeast and honey. The taste yields the same, with wheat-driven bubblegum being most prominent. Not overly complex, a nice simple but satisfying mid-soft carbonated sipper.

Nice taste. Fruite smell, caramel taste. It has honey color. Sweet and honey, for girls.
