Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Abbey de Abbey Belgian style-12 oz bottle-pours a thick white foamy head and the color is golden. Aroma is musty. Flavor is good for class, although a little on the light side. It tastes creamy, then cinnamon/banana comes through. Finishes OK.

Bottle. Popurs a light brown colour with a fair lasting head. Nice fruity, malty and yeasty aroma. Bit bitter and quite fruity flavour with malt and yeast and just a touch of sweet caramel. A preety good mass produced Belgian ale.

It was one of the first Belgian beers, probably the first I tasted when I began drinking and rating beer. I hated it, just like I hated all other Belgian beers.... At my 1 year anniversary I had to try it again, and it was much better, even if it isn’t among the really nice blonds IMO. Light amber, nice head and a discrete, slightly perfumed aroma with notes of yeast. The flavour is sweet with notes of coriander, malt and fruit and a rather distinct note of citrus, and towards the finish it becomes a little bit dominating.

Yellow beer with a good white head that keeps bubbling for a while. Malty aroma with clear wheat notes of banana and spices and even roses too. Sweet, but with some bitterness after a while. Somewhat thin mouthfeel.

Slight hopbitterness, bit yeasty, some underlying maltiness. Herbal, hopbitter finish. Not bad, but not too much flavor.
