"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Quite average. How could this have rated so highly? It is pretty watery and flavourless rich girl beer (I had to put Hall and Oates on as soon as I slammed it down). A brew for people who don't like the taste of beer, and are relieved to open a bottle of carbonated mineral water with a hint of sugar. Refreshing? Who cares: so is shoveling ice cream down me pants.

I thought this was a very smooth easy drinking beer. Full bodied with a spicy hop character.

750ml bottle 5/16/13 (Jewel Clearance Rack)-46° in Trappist Glass-Pours a clear blond with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, and floral. Taste of the same with more yeast and floral on the back end. This light to medium bodied brew is a nice tasting Belgian.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a large sized head of foamy light off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent orange colored body and a good lacing. The smooth aroma was musty. The sharp mild citrus crisp and clean mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. The smooth flavor contained notes of bitter wood mild citrus mild caramel toffee oak sweet crisp & clean breads and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Dark golden, big head with staying power. Heavy sweetness, Weizen-like banana. Pleasant and refreshing, if not that interesting.

Deep gold, clear, fluffy white head with lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt, peppery phenols, light pear-like fruit, floral notes. Flavor: dry, crackerlike malt with a touch of sweetness at the end, peppery phenols, a little strawberry-like fruit, some spicy noble hops. Very drinkable with a great spicy Belgian yeast character.

I prefer the Brune but enjoy both - albeit only occasionally. A reliable Belgian brew to contrast with my usual Anglo ales.

Pours a five finger white head that fades very slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Honey and clove nose, flavor is flowery, honey and cloves. $7.99 for a 6-pak 330ml bottles from Market Basket Concord, NH.
