"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Sometimes a I'm in the mood for a good Belgian but don't have the stones or the stomach to ingest the normally high alcohol and appreciate the complexities contained therein. That's when I pop open a Leffe Blond. It's like a really good beer that's been watered down a bit... It's still good, but not as intense.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 18A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 49 20:02. AROMA: sweet malty background with spicy aromas, reminiscent of honey-like or caramel. faint orange notes. no hop aromas noticeable. APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. large creamy white head with good retention. pronunced lacing. TASTE: smooth light sweet malt background. low bitterness in the aftertaste. finishes semi-sweet. no hop flavours discernible. PALATE: creamy and medium body. high carbonation. OVERALL: a belgian blond ale without much complexity.

Golden beer, no head to speak of. Fruity aroma of banana, apples, some bubblegum. Bittersweet, malty taste, with lots of spice, very intense. Medium finish with hints of bubblegum and spices. Medium body. Overall a very nice beer, that probably gets underrated by many due to its very broad distribution, as is the case with many beers on this site.

Klart guldfärgat öl med stor vit skumkrona. Fräsch doft av jäst, bröd, malt, smått fruktig och smaken likaså. Riktigt bra smak med en lagom styrka och fyllighet. Ingen "wow" öl men riktigt bra! Flaska från Systembolaget. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can 50cl. Golden orange color. Fruity, yeasty aroma: green olives, olive oil, salami (yeast?), some bread. Like it. Taste is rather flat: a bitter fruitiness, salami and broccoli. Sweet aftertaste that resembles English licorice.

"it had a delicate but assertive flavor, and surprised a couple drinkers who were underestimating it based on the style and look (an attractive fizzy yellow beer). light fruit galore, medium spiced, and dry, although not as much as the tripple. a pleasant surprise."

330ml bottle served in its own chalice. A: Pors a clear golden yellow-to-orange color forming a big, bubbled and lingering white head. Good retention and some lacings left in the glass S: Sweet, grainy and fruity. Strong notes of honey and Belgian-like bready yeasts. A bit spicy too. In overall, a sweet beer with a light hoppy bitter finish T: Sweet malts, honey, cloves and bready yeasts. A little bit of bubblegum sensation. In overall, a sweet and bready taste. Light bitter "hoppy" finish M: Medium creamy and molasses body. Medium carbonation. Bready bittersweet belgian-style aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Despite of being an ImBev, I still recommend it as a belgian classic blond ale [ BA Review @ 4/5/2010 ]

A decent Belgian blonde. Very golden in colour as you would expect, with a largely sweet taste.
