Uses Vieux Temps yeast which gives the clove-like flavour.
"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Nice Belgian blonde, very light in comparison to others, which makes it a refreshing change of pace. I really cannot think of a bad thing to say about this one.

I liked this more than everyone else seemed to, but seeing as how I haven’t had anything Belgian in a while, I guess that’s subjective. It was a nice sweet/perfumy beer, everything I expect from a Belgian blonde.

Bottle. Brilliant golden color, huge billowy h\white head provides alots of lace. Very fruity aroma with sour, bready notes and hints of raspberry and peach. Flavor is from prominent yeast strain, pilsener malt, toast, maybe some candi sugar. Noble hops are subtle. Some spice notes in background. Pretty dry. Very good.

I grew up in Belgium, so I have been drinking Belgian beers for a long time...this is a good beer that hits all the right spots...tasty but not to heavy so you can tip a few without all the bloating and burping...it taste good, thats what matters...I love all the guys who make up stuff to sound like they know what they are talking about...it is what it is... a good beer....

I’ve had it before and I’ll have it again. I love this beer. Aroma reminds me slightly of wet cedar wood with hints of rising yeast and caramel. The beer pours a dark golden hue with a creamy white head, but hard to produce from the bottle. I had to rattle the bottle on the last fifth and then pour. The toasted bread and slightly sweat caramel flavors match up perfectly with the aroma. There is a slight warming on the tongue and throat with an acidic bite, pleasant not over-powering. The smooth taste hides the listed 6.6 abv well. Overall, Leffe is one of my favorite beers. It has a wheat beer quality that I love and is a good starter beer to setting the palate for drinking other Belgian beers.

I can honestly say that this is a delicious beer that I could drink anytime. I have had this on draft and in bottle and it is outstanding either way.

The damn near perfect beer. Pours nice golden color and drinks like a dream. Has a real subtle spice flavor that isn’t too intense. A little pricey but well worth it.

I remember the first time I tried this beer. I thought it was so aweful. The next time I tried it was two years later. I have not regreted it. This beer has an excellent aroma, asweet Belgian taste that is somewhat heavy on the palate but makes a great finish. Great to just sip and enjoy.
