"Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a ’connoisseur’ beer that is easy to drink."

Poured into a chalice glass, this beer showed a large white head and a beautiful orange color. The aroma was floral with a heavy yeast overtone, as with most Belgian ales. The taste is very smooth, with a medium sweetness. Full bodied, creamy, with an almost sticky mouth feel. Nice, long finish. I have a love-hate relationship with Belgian ales. I often love them at first taste, but eventually find them cloying. Also, I also do not care for the overpowering taste of the yeast used in Belgian ales. But they are very smooth, and if the sugar and yeast could be toned down, they would be among my favorites. FYI - for those who are not aware, Leffe is not a Trappist ale, nor is it brewed by an abbey. It is brewed by Stella Artois under license of the Leffe Abbey.

Bottle at home, 27/09/16. Golden amber with a well appointed white head of bubbles. Nose is sweet malt, popcorn, toasted grains, cereal, light spice, orange peel. Taste comprises fruit cake, caramel, toasted grains, honey, light spice, grass, corn, banana esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinkable mass market Belgo but not one I’d take as a regular tipple.

Aroma frutal, a malta, levadura.

Tobaco at its best, with weath flavour and a golden colour that invites to have a drink.

Flesje tijdens vakantie gedronken. Bittere smaak blijft wel even hangen.

Sampled many times on tap in Paris (this seems to be the brew that all restaurants carry in addition to... gulp... 1664). Sweet for a blonde, with a fuller body than I expected. A bit one-dimensional, and certainly malt-forward. Slightly tinny. Definitely easy to drink, and did the trick several times over my week in Paris.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear light amber with a medium white head. Nose of unrefined sugar, smoke, spice, yeast. Tastes sweetish, very light bitterness on finish. High carbonation, medium body, oily texture, sticky on finish. Not bad but nothing spectacular.
