3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured into a chalice glass, this beer showed a large white head and a beautiful orange color. The aroma was floral with a heavy yeast overtone, as with most Belgian ales. The taste is very smooth, with a medium sweetness. Full bodied, creamy, with an almost sticky mouth feel. Nice, long finish.
I have a love-hate relationship with Belgian ales. I often love them at first taste, but eventually find them cloying. Also, I also do not care for the overpowering taste of the yeast used in Belgian ales. But they are very smooth, and if the sugar and yeast could be toned down, they would be among my favorites.
FYI - for those who are not aware, Leffe is not a Trappist ale, nor is it brewed by an abbey. It is brewed by Stella Artois under license of the Leffe Abbey.

Pours a clear golden with a medium head dissapating slowly. Honey, bread and a banana ester all dominate in aroma, subtle fruit and spice in the back m. Taste is sweet, with a hint of licorice and yeast. Exceptionally well balanced and a nice mouthfeel.

Golden with rich and lasting head, good lacing. Malty and yessty aroma with a hint of spices. Malty sweet taste with noticable bitter finish. Luvely carbonation adds some refreshing sourness. Drinkable brew.

Clear golden with white foam. Aroma of Belgian yeast, malt, rich fruit, maybe some spice, and brown sugar. Light taste, a little sweet, with a lightly bitter and sour finish. Effervescent and light bodied. Drinkable but nothing exceptional.

(750ml corked) In a 500 ml Leffe goblet . (Rerate) Leffe Blonde is a go-to beer for me and wars a gateway beer back in the day , I really like the stuff . The kinda beer to watch with sport on TV and chill without any fuss ... Spicy , rich and malty, with a tinned fruit emphasis ,treacly peaches . There is nothing rare or flashy here , not a beer-nerd beer to ponder , but a beer drinking beer for boosting .
