Leffe Brune

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. The aroma is very fruity, almost sharp. The flavor is good, a little bit like a schwarzbier with sugar. Well done!

[832-20071110] Tap @ Bier Markt (Toronto, ON). Faintly malty aroma. Clear, dark red body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head and thick lacing. Banana malt and wheat yeast flavour has toasted Belgian characteristics. Medium-full body. Nice, repeatable, hides the alcohol well.

Draft. Nice and figgy raisin aroma and the taste is just the same. I was in a bar that did not have much to offer, I and was very glad to see and order a few of these. Nice and balanced abbey dubbel imho.

330ml bottle. Dark brown coloured with a decent off-white head. Sweet aroma with some dark fruit and molasses. Flavour was also sweet, with plenty of warming alcohol and a slightly metallic finish. Ok.

bottle. Brwon colour, large head. Aroma of chocolate and caramel. Full-bodied, malty with hints of roasted malt, toffee, cocoa poweder and chocolate.

bouteille brune de 330ml. belle bière brune avec reflets rouges passablement agréables, mousse brunâtre moyenne, nez épicé et discret, bouche moyenne, ronde, on sent l’effervescence en bouche, tout de même agréable pour un produit commerciale.

Bière d’un brun assez foncé, claire et brillante, qui donne une mousse beige relativement abondante et persistante. L’apparence est parfaite. Les arômes sont de malt, d’alcool, de céréales grillées et en toute fin de fruits secs discrets. Le goût est moyennement sucré et reproduit fidèlement les arômes. Le palais est moyennement rond, avec une texture légèrement aérienne quand la bière tiédie. C’est une excellente bière, on en boirait encore, et une autre fois.
