The nose is dominated by alcohol but with hints of chocolate and strong tea. The palate is full and creamy. Some raisiny fruit in the middle but the dominant flavour is pure alcohol. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Aroma with roasted malts, sweetness, fruityness and also nuts. Actually a wheat aroma, just more roasted and spiced. A little thin beer. Some sourishness and nuts in the taste which lasts all through the aftertaste. Quite spicy beer with a correct amount of bitter hops. It reminds me of a mix between a belgian ale and an irish stout. The spice gives the beer character and compensates a little for the missing body. Noticeable alcohol, but not obvious. bwinch1 (6), USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Bottle, nice dark brown color, well balanced flavor and aroma, wonderful beer, its not imported in Louisiana so I am out of luck thebeertourist (2777), Oslo, Norway
