zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Aug 25, 2006 On tap. Clear dark ruby with off white head. Aroma is port and pickled plum. Flavor is caramel, malt, metallic. flemmingwillum (226), København S, Denmark Aug 20, 2006 Aroma with roasted malts, sweetness, fruityness and also nuts. Actually a wheat aroma, just more roasted and spiced. A little thin beer. Some sourishness and nuts in the taste which lasts all through the aftertaste. Quite spicy beer with a correct amount of bitter hops. It reminds me of a mix between a belgian ale and an irish stout. The spice gives the beer character and compensates a little for the missing body. Noticeable alcohol, but not obvious. bwinch1 (6), USA does not count Aug 7, 2006 Bottle, nice dark brown color, well balanced flavor and aroma, wonderful beer, its not imported in Louisiana so I am out of luck thebeertourist (2753), Oslo, Norway Aug 5, 2006 Bottle.
