0.75 Litre cork and caged bottle: BBD 8th Mar 15. Shared at the August Shrewsbury bootle swap. Golden and clear pour, white head and clean lacing. Too much honey for me (and the rest of the group), I tried to enjoy it but it just seemed to get sweeter and sweeter with each sip: had to gulp it down to get rid of it. If you strongly into honey this is for you, otherwise leave it on the shelf.

Bottle, 25cL. Home. A clear golden yellow beer with orange hues. Medium white head, average persistence. Aroma of caramel, honey, light herbal and fruity. Medium to heavy sugary sweet, light bitter. Medium body, silky (nearly oily) texture, average carbonation, lasting sweet finish. Overall, pleasant aroma, a bit too sweet in my opinion.

Very present honey aroma, which isn’t as present in the taste, however after a few sips it becomes rather overly sweet. One or two will go down, after that you’d want to switch to something else, too sweet for my taste.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours gold. Lots of honey. Sickly sweet. Drinkable at first, but by the second sip gets a bit too much. Not again please.

Bottle - golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of honey, candy, brown sugar. Same in the taste, plus cloves. Borderline cloying, borderline don’t like it, but am continuing to drink it. OK.

Bottle. Golden and clear. Sweet with a taste of honey. Not as bad as I had expected. In fact it was reasonably drinkable but wont be trying it again.

750ml bottle from Tesco, shared with the lad - Amber gold body, foamy white lacing head. Not much other than a sugary nose, lots of golden syrup and cooked brown sugar. Taste has the usual Leffe clove kick, but is sweetened off with the honey. If I was harsh I’d compare it to a cough sweet, but to be fair it was okay.

SarkyNorthener (1965) - Walsall (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle from tesco. Golden amber beer with residual head and a touch of lacing. Aroma of yeast, honey and a little lemon. Taste is honey lockets, sweet malts and a little yeast. A little oily on the palate. Not a very good one.

750ml bottle. Pours deep gold with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is sweet, nutty, milky yeast with honey underneath. Taste is sweet nutty honey to start. Sickly sweet honey finish.

750ml Bottle from Tesco supermarket, Glasgow (£2.99):
Citrus & tonnes of honey with huge amounts of sweetness. Odd floral notes & subtle hops follow, a touch of spice too but it is definitely the honey that seems to dominate & overpower.
Clear, light amber with plenty of bubbles & a white, inch tall head that leaves a little lacing on the sides of the glass.
Too sweet tasting with huge amounts of honey that actually seem more pronounced than they were on the nose. Light hops & a faint touch of alcohol sit at the back. Some bread add further sweetness come next before the beer is rounded off with yet more honey giving it a sickeningly sweet taste.
Light to light medium bodied with a ridiculously sweet feel & medium carbonation levels. A slight hop bitterness to the beer with faint alcohol in places as well but the sweetness was overpowering.

Quite a poor beer from Leffe and definitely not as enjoyable as their Blonde or Brune, sickeningly sweet and one to avoid.
