2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
75cl bottle, brought from France and shared at a party. Too sweet for any serious craft beer drinkers, but it’s not too shabby if you see it as a beer-flavoured lemonade. Almost as sweet as the mead they served at the Renaissance Fair.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Suppose you take a banal beer, with Leffe aromas, and put inside a few spoon of industrial honey... You see it ? You got it !!!!
If you like honey taste in a good beer look at Barbar from Lefebvre, or Biere de Miel Biologique from Dupont, but avoid this new poison from AB Inbev...

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Shared a 33cl bottle from Delheize (Belgium). Pours a clear straw yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma is smooth with citrus, fruit and yeast. Average carbonation with light body. Taste is at first quite sweet but changing quickly to a more bitterness. Dry long finish. Overall, a Leffe... a good average beer but nothing remarkable.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Ok here it goes. 3 x 330 ml bottle. Side by Side Leffe Royale - Nectar & Triple. Royale: pours deep yellow with fizzy head. Nose is clearly spices (cardamom & cloves). Medium body with low carbonation and high sweetness. Evades extremely quickly. Taste is undefined, but it is surely bland and superficiaL. 1.7/5 Triple: Pours light to hay yellow with white hue. Thin white head. Nose is lightly malty, some yeast but lots of alcohol. Medium body, watery feeling, too much booze. Taste is cloves and eucalyptus. 1.5/5 Nectar: malt, caramel in the nose, clear golden, creamy tiny head. Body is sweet sweet sweet with a tiny sour note due to unbalance with the light body. Bland finish. Taste is a bit of malt and lots of cane Sugar. 1.8/5 All in all, these beers confirmed my prejudices: bland as from the beginning (filtered, pasteurised etc... I actually miss a real beer flavour and aroma). Poured them all.
