We begonnen de avond met een lekkere Leffe ... later zag ik pas dat het alcoholpercentage behoorlijk was ... maar dat was er niet aan af te proeven.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Hard to place flavours. A little cherry and some toffee notes as well. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Not bad.

Dark appearance with small head. Very pronounced hoppy flavor with chocolate and spice notes. Not enough balance for me though.

Appearance - body is clear, a nice deep burnt orange colour, fine bubbly off-white head. Aroma - nose is big, yeasty, with tart fruits, grainy, a bit bready, touch of candy and spice. Palate/Flavour - body is light, medium-full, fluffy and creamy, tart, lots of yeast, fruit spices, a cloying tart yeasty finish.
