2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ClubGonzo (1732) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 30, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a small, white head. Aroma is very weak, with only small hints of caramel and wood. Taste is caramel, English ale yeast and faint tones of honey melon. A fairly decent "Speciale Belge" from Leffe, but not a favorite by far.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bmeup (401) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - AUG 10, 2010
The massive creamy head atop of this deep amber beer is impressive. Sweet, fruity and slightly roasted malts abound. Wonderfull bitterness and length while strength is well hidden, make this a great beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2010
Just see I forgot to rate this beer before... Tasted allready a couple of times. Darker amber coulored beer with a good holding off-white head. Smell of fruits and some yeast. Nothing really interesting, but nothing bad also. Taste of spices and some fruits. Not bad, but there are better beers around.

Mildly roasty-sweet aroma. Reddish-brown color. Mildly sweet and roasty flavor with an unusual amont of hops for a Belgian ale.

Sampled this one at the Pub St. Alexandre in Quebec City. Poured a deep amber colour with red highlights. Very beautiful. The head was medium with patchy coating. The aromas had apple scent with belgian yeast. Wow ! What a smooth brew for a dark strong Belgian beer. Apples in the start with dark fruits in the mild finish. Also mild bitterness with a smooth semi-dry aftertaste. Clean mouthfeel. Overall, loved this beer that is refreshing with extreme drinkability.
