3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep amber colour with a small creamy head. Typically yeasty, dark fruit and malty aroma for the style. Dark fruit and caramel comes through heavily in the flavour, alcohol is present, warming and fairly complimentary. Slightly different take on the Belgian strong ale and glad i tried it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0,33 bottle. Flower/fruits aroma, amber colour and almost clear liquid. Medium carbonation, minimal head. Medium sweet, light bitter, thin texture. Reminds of Leffe Brune in overall.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Been after this one since initially trying it in KL back in April 2010. Had a feeling it would be disappointing; here goes...
Mahogany-amber color leaves my glass filthy with white head & lace. Smells like disappointment. Taste wreaks of artificial fruit sweeteners, though it's not cloying. Not awful, yet still a ways from being acceptable. Bleh.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I drank the 33cl bottle version of this beer a couple of time, its very dark amber color and the almost orange top always looked very promising, but in both the occasions it reminded a more alcoholic but less complex Vieille Cuvée, and way less sweet which can be good for many people.
I find it lacking a distinct note in the aroma department, especially if served chilled as suggested.
Not bad at all, but better wait a while to let it "open" a bit.
