3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TomDecapolis (4000) - Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2005
Poured from the bottle with a nice off white head that laced the glass. The body was amber and the aroma...you got it, it’s a Leffe. Still can’t really pinpoint exactly what the aroma and flavor of a Leffe is, but it is there in all the ones I tried (Brune, Tripel, Blonde and now this). Slight cherry in the aroma with a sweetness in the flavor that helped set it apart from the other Leffe’s. A slight alcohol taste and burn.

Amber with a distinct pinkish tinge. Large frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some yeast. Taste is alcoholic, sweet and fruity. A slight bitter aftertaste. Found it a bit too fizzy.

From bottle at Brussels Airport. Clear copper with a medium off-white head. Freash bready malt aroma. Rather sweet with bitternessonly kicking in to a modest extent. Modest rye bread flavours. Not the sexiest beer around, but one of the better Leffes.

This reddish amber beer pours with a nice tan head. The flavor is sweet and sour, with a candy note. There is an initial alcohol taste and a bitter finish. A decent brew for a cold winter night.
