Nice aroma. Light yeast component. Bit sweet with some malts, caramel. Dark fruits, hops. Copper brown clear with very thin off-white head. Med-heavy watery body with vibrant carb. Light sweet malts. Caramel & some raisin. Nice light floral hops give bitter dry finish. Nutty bitter dry after. Some musty grass components.

Clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dried fruit, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 251007

Bottle from a Carrefour in Ypres after another, purchased in a SPAR in Leuven the day before died in an accident (that I didn’t cause :P). Anyway, clear golden body, nice, slightly off white head. Typical Leffe sweet malty nose with spice and candied orange peel. Sweeter than average, kinda messy, malt dominated, strange herbal/vegetable dry notes, perfumey spicy notes too. The spicines is a bit too present and extends into the aftertaste. More warming than it has any right to be. Still, not really that bad a beer (though hardly a good Belgian).

330 ml bottle. Good looking reddish brown body with a big off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar and fruit. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel, slightly roasted sugar, spices, fruit, some bitterness and alcohol. It’s quite complex but easy to drink. Excellent balance between sweetness, bitterness and alcohol with a pleasant finish.

(0.33 l bottle) Deep amber colour and clear. Malts in nose. Watery palate. Some malts in taste. Hints of raisin. Little bitterness in aftertaste. Somewhat boring.

Thought the aroma was of cherry cinnamon and malt, reddy colour and a good head with lacing, more fruit on the taste and and a chalky mouthfeel.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2007 33cl Bottle from Sainsburys. Reddish chestnut with a thick white head; rich aroma of candied fruit, alcohol and malt; nutty and caramel flavours, with a long fruity and slightly bitter finish; alcohol rather too obvious for my taste.
