Very nice beer indeed! Dark brown, deep red coloured. Fruity taste, with the taste of different herbs and a smooth bitterness. Complex and very tasty!

TheGrandMaster (2308) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 22, 2007
Bottle, a deep brown colour with just a bit of carbonation and think bubbly beige head. A fruity caramal aroma. Very sweet, which is countered a little further in the swallow by some carbonation and acidic sourness. Syrupy toffee flavours, with a strong woody alcoholic touch, akin to whiskey. Could have got a higher rating, but I just can’t get past that acidity.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2005 Pours a dark amber with an off-white somewhat dissappearing head. Some lacing. Sweet and quite dry. Flavors of caramel, malt, prunes and some alcohol. Sharp fruitiness that lingers with the bitter-dry finish.

Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Nice reddish color, off-white head. Smell and taste ok, better than I expected. Medium body, firm carbo.

tkrjukoff (2284) - SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2010
Pours ruby amber with minimal bubbly tanned head leaving some lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, berries and caramel. Full bodied crispy mouthfeel. Full bodied crisp mouthfeel. Sweet, malty, hoppy tart and fruity flavor with some notes of raisins. Acidy lean sweet palate, very nice. Finishes sweet caramel turning into great tart bitter longlived bite.

Amber color, with a small beige head, with a yeasty, fruity nose, with a subtle wet oaky cherryish note, with some dried dark fruits, with some toast malts and spices, hint of candi sugar in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, malty, fruity character, with a toasty, caramelized malts, with a faint chocolatey note, with some oaky cherryish and fruity raisiny flavors, with an accent of nutmeg and coriander spiciness, in a warmth mouthfeel, leading towards a warm, malty, cherry-like liquor, hop bitterness finish.

Pretty average Strong Ale. Not very unique.

TAR (2214) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - DEC 26, 2001
UPDATED: APR 4, 2003 This was fresh as can be. Enjoyable fruit laden aroma. Copper color with brussels lace the whole way downward. Flavors of wood and cane sugar. Finish is explosively carbonated with a very dry, slightly bitter finish. This one surprised me.
