UPDATED: AUG 22, 2007 Rødlig øl.
Duft af kryderier, varme og belgisk gær.
Smag: Meget krydret og let bitter. Sødlig og varm som en kloster. Men ikke så kraftig.
Sprittet eftersmag.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 The Etruscan (400) - Tuscany, ITALY - MAR 22, 2003
Dark amber-brown color. Medium lasting thiny beige head. Aroma is malty with caramel, dried fruity and nutty notes. Flavor is malty and fruity too with an appearing spicy and slightly alchoolic undertone, ending in abalanced moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 CEZ (391) - Milano, ITALY - MAY 4, 2004
Deep garnet, almost brown body. Beautiful head and lace. Aroma brings you yeast, caramel, fruit (cherries) and some hops too. A bit of alcohol warmth in the taste. Sweet but dry, a slightly bitter almond finish. Not quite as complex, thick or smooth as the élite belgians strong ales, but still a balanced and enjoyable brew. In Italy, this one could make the "Top 10 easily accessible beers".
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 petermadsen (390) - Vesterbronxxx, DENMARK - OCT 29, 2007
Yeasty aroma, dirty amber and a fading head leaving laces. The flavour is spicy with notes of pepper, coriander and alcohol. Not fabulous, but oddly drinkable...
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 delnoche (371) - GERMANY - JAN 24, 2010
33cl bottle poured into a Leffe chalice. Sparkling amber brown with two fingers off-white head. Aroma is biscuit, candy sugar, spices. Flavor has notes of cherries, caramel, biscuit, slight alcohol. Very nice. Finish is slightly bitter. Enjoyable beer.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 onlyrocknroll (367) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - FEB 28, 2008
Very attractive burgundy colour with a medium head. Underwhelmingly weak fruity malty aroma. The flavour is malty, with caramel and spiciness and alcohol. Sounds more interesting than it is though, just a little too weak in its flavour I found.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Veer (362) - Landskrona, SWEDEN - SEP 28, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2006 Deep red, nice head.
Smells caramel, malty, fruity, berries, yeast and wellbalanced.
It tastes smooth and rich.
Not as sweet and malty as I would have preferred it.
