Bottle 3/4/10 Brown clear with very good head. Aroma of esters, banana, high alcohols with crystal malt background. Flavour of warm alcohol balanced by a good malt background, slightly sweet, not much hop. Overall a well balanced strong ale, not cloying, wouldnt of guessed 8.2%

Like a dubbel with a shot of brandy in it. Not bad, at that. (Warming, spicy (cardamom), dried fruit, smooth; brown, garnet highlights, no head)

Bottle from Carrefour in Brussels. Smells gross, like fruit. Browish. Tastes gross. Has some hops, but it tastes like an IPA with fruit mixed in. It tastes like radishes, which is what I assume the name is referring to.

A bit boring apperence with a laim head. A fresh, sweet and fruite aroma. The flavor is dominated by sweet hops and fruits with a bitter finish. Fine beer, but a little too sweet.

It’s strong, it’s fruity, it’s heavy, oh it’s another Leffe. An excellent strong Ale with a not-too-sweet fruity palate combined with some bitterness. A nice dark amber body with a smooth head. Be sure to get it in one of those one liter steins. Thumbs up!

Dark amber/brown in colour with a thin head of low persistence. Very malty both in aroma and in flavour. Hints of caramel and raisins in the nose. A little fruity in the mouth, sweet. Hop and alcohol not evident. Quite honest abbey ale.

More brown than amber coloured, but a nice appearance. This Leffe can’t top the brown or blond version, but has a pleasant taste.

Notes of perfume and "yeast". Its a nice complex beer, but with a overpowering yeasty feel to it.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2003 Love this one. Nice malt taste, warm alcohol and a great hop finish. Lighter than a Chimay but every bit an Abbey Ale. Lovely.
