Amber colour, pours a reddish head that is not very big, but last for a while.
Smell is sweet cherries, dark fruits, cinnamon, caramel, spicy.
Dry flavor.
Taste: Cherries, a hint of chocolate, floral, spicies and a bitter touch. Fruits, caramel.
A good one, though I think something is missing, not sure what.

Bottled. Clear, brown, with an off-white head. The aroma has tobacco, dried fruits, yeast, candisugar, caramel and spices. Sweet, malty flavor with dried fruits and alcohol. Medium body and a finish with alcohol, bitterness and dried fruits. The aroma promises a lot, but the flavor, body and finish don’t live up to it. (060812)

Aaah... I’ve waited for this bottle a couple of years now. It’s old, but not yet bb. The aroma promises well, with fruitful cherry-notes and some oakyness. This is dark brown, with a small white head. I’m drinking this from a real La Trappe (champagne-shaped) glass, and the foam looks intriguing, like a swamp actually. The first sip is good with its fizzyness. The alcohol warms in a good way. More woody flavours and less fruit. Long, full finish. My kind o’ play thingie.

Spicy, malty aroma which tastes a bit like a malty Belgian pale ale but this has more character than your regular Belgian pale. Delicious caramel sweetness in the middle of the tongue, peppery carbonation on the front and the malty taste follows the beer down the throat. Good beer!
